The best, but unethical, treatment is exposure therapy. It's unethical because a small percentage ~5% will go into cardiac arrest because their brain won't override the conditioned fear response.
This is all conditioning, and LSD as a hypnotic is unlikely to cure it because it's hypnotic conditioning via TV/media and you'll never cure these people this way on the scale necessary.
We're gonna have to push them into something akin to a room of domestic pet mice and watch them break. Most will pull back from the edge, some won't.
Nobody who uses LSD calls it a hypnotic. Entheogen is a better choice. It really is a great medicine for personal development. So are psychedelic mushrooms.
