I could watch those birds hunt for hours and not get bored. I used to sit on a dock in the Keys with a couple of beers just watching those guys set up shop in the shallows and catch stuff :-).
Moved to FL from a blue hellhole 8 months into this BS , never looked back. Occasional trips for work to blue states reminds me why I moved. DeSantis is a warrior, and may might very well save the country with his stance
Not the poster above but I also moved here recently. About a year ago. Closer you get the Tampa, Orlando, Miami, etc the more liberal it gets (any big city , really). Still not as bad as the blue hellhole I came from though! I recommend Sumter , Citrus, or Marion county, great places to retire, still pretty rural in some areas. I visit down by Tampa often, but it’s too crowded for my tastes. Have a friend in Naples, he loves it, but it’s pretty pricey. Haven’t gotten down there myself yet.
Pensacola area... not too big or too small. Home of the Naval Air Station and the Blue Angels! Awesome museum and Lighthouse at the NAS. Gorgeous beaches and nothing better than sunbathing on the beach while the Blue Angels fly practice runs over the beach! 🌴🏖️🐬🐚🌅
It was very warm here in eastern NC. It's 66 right now in the middle of the night, and it's raining. We have stretches of warm weather in December pretty often. Spring bulbs are popping up, but they are going to freeze in a week or two. If you don't like the weather here, wait a few hours or days.
I got groceries, so I can stay home for months. And I don't plan on being in the dark or dying any time soon. Biden can kiss my lily white.

Just moved to Writesville Beach, NC from NY 2 weeks ago. It was 84 today, was at beach for sunrise and just got back from having a catch with my sons. Went and checked on our new house that is being built and now I'm going to take my dog for a walk with my wife. Life's good.
