In citrus county. A lot of rain. Power didn’t go out at all. So far, so good. Friends in Marion say no issues either. Not the storm the media prayed for.

No pythons. National cemetery and a jailhouse in Bushnell/Webster area. Rest easy. I go there often. There are gators but no pythons. Edit: I haven’t signed in in awhile but I wanted to make sure you aren’t worried. You have a fren nearby.

I thought it was, again, unethical. Unless the family gave permission expressly it’s not legal, at least, not in the USA. If they didn’t have the family’s permission they could easily get a complaint filed against them. I don’t remember if that person was in the USA or not though. Different countries may (and usually do) have different funeral law and rules. It’s not something I would do, that’s for sure. The way I do my work, If I wouldn’t want it to happen to my own grandmother, I don’t do it. He MIGHT have gotten permission but I really think he should have reiterated that if he did.

I’m from USA. That’s a good point. I thought the one I was speaking of was from USA but I could be wrong. It is true that not all countries are regulated the same way (if at all) in terms of funeral rule. It’s also possible those folks do get to see medical records other than cause of death. Even if you were in another country keeping parts of the body without permission would be wrong though. For example, someone could say, well if he’s keeping clots, who’s to say he isn’t keeping gold teeth (not that any embalmer/director/undertaker would waste their time with that since the amount of gold in teeth isn’t worth the trouble - I try to explain this to families who want them back) but I’m just thinking in terms of what the opposition would use against us in terms of discrediting his observations. It certainly didn’t sit well with me.

Sorta. Problem is I wasn’t paying as much attention before. But yes, I’d say I’ve had larger clots than prior. Sometimes my drainage will get stuck and I’ll have to yank out a massive clot. Other problem is-as an embalmer I have no way of knowing who got the vaccine. I can speculate but we don’t get their medical records unless the family volunteers that info. Lastly, it’s not ethical for an embalmer to be keeping “samples” of clots. I would never do that. You could lose your license. Unless the family gave you permission in legal docs. That embalmer rubbed me the wrong way (if the families gave him permission he needed to say so) Not that I think the vaccine isn’t doing anything at all-I’m a pure blood and would never get it! I’ve certainly seen more death causes of heart issues lately…

Just to add. Sent to my mother who took Russian in college. She says the Russian listed beneath him in the “subtitles” appears to be jiberish. So yeah, probably fake “translation” Edit: lol I don’t think she saw it was Dutch. Either way she found the original speech says it’s fake.

Just finished it. Great watch. (It’s available on Amazon Prime btw for free if the other options don’t work) Agree with some of the other observations-

Go along to get along. This movie was a warning as well as a bit of telling us their plan. The message: Yes, this is what we do. No, don’t bother fighting us. You can’t win.

As a movie buff, have to say those opening and ending “hearing” shots were pretty solid.

Lastly, the fact he bought the ticket on the plane surprised me as well. Dang, those were the days!

…and Warren Beatty’s 70’s hair. Oof.

I’m so happy to hear this you have no idea! Thanks mods! I wasn’t very keen on the fact he was here but I figured you guys had your reasons. Guess he wore out his welcome thank goodness.

Really? Never played the PSP version, just knew that the translation was fixed. Well damn, that’s a shame…

The version for PSP updated the translation. It’s not so broken/ridiculous now. As an aside I also love how after the credits you see how Ovelia’s paranoia eventually got the better of her anyway. One of my top ten games.

Actually as an mortician/undertaker that’s the one statement I agree on and have no skepticism whatsoever. I have personally seen more massive blood clots now than in my entire career. Yes, been having trouble with drainage. Don’t want to dox myself or say any more than that.

Edit: it’s not white, just your typical clot-although massive in scale.

Undertaker here. Just FYI once it’s fired up for the day it could probably cremate at least 50 infants. Possibly more. You don’t run them unless you have several to cremate. Just saying it’s possible. I am, however, skeptical.

Another Laserdic fan? Still have your player? I have a Pioneer CLD-D406 . What's yours? I still use it to this day. Purchased specifically for Japanese LDs.Don't have this on LD though, but I do have Blade Runner.

Hey SOTU! I had some personal stuff come up last few days. I missed the end of your Venmo saga. How did it all play out? Grats on the bonus shares. Edit: I think I found it in your post history - sounds like it’s over finally? What a mess…

That was my thought. Sounds like the family is going to go another route. Seems the lawsuit publicity opened some other doors for them.

Let him know he needs to add a light blend. I might’ve tried it out but I don’t like dark or medium blends.

That didn’t bother me as much as the story itself. Idk, after I heard so much about how great it was, I just didn’t understand why it was so highly regarded.

BlessedbytheAbyss 3 points ago +3 / -0

At least things are getting there. Just shows how much power this companies have. I mean, if you can’t add the card you are right back to the issue! Only reason I even use Venmo is when I moved to FL my closest bank is over an hour away. Apparently the big ones stay out of the small towns. Again, too much power.

Wow, your story is the same as mine! Expect I didn’t start supporting Trump until 2020 when the scamdemic woke me up And I also avoid PW now. It’s just not a healthy environment.

Let me know. I really think his shorter works tend to be his best. If not, hey, at least you gave it a chance.

2
BlessedbytheAbyss 2 points ago +2 / -0

Haha yeah i just thought it was a good place to drop the story. Personally I thought Asimov’s Foundation series was rather dry. Again, I much prefer PKD shorter works. As for Dune, should be required reading!

My pleasure. What I love is to tell the liberals who idolize him about this story. Might be a red pill for them, but usually they just get angry at me…
