I noticed that in the paper’s introduction, she refers to herself as a “future Black alumnus.” In Latin, alumnus is the masculine form; alumna would be the proper term for a female graduate. Now you could chalk this up to Michelle not being smart enough to know Latin (from her writing she certainly didn’t seem to know many other basic rules of English grammar either), but now I can’t help wondering if it was a slip of the tongue…

My wife taught at a Jr College and I would help her sort the term papers into three stacks so she could then go through them and give them a final grade.
I had the original assignment instructions and a general knowledge of the subject so I was able to competently sort them low, medium and high.
I could not believe the number of spelling errors, grammatical errors and just outright not following the provided instructions. But since it was not an English class she told me to try and ignore the outright obliteration of the English language that was taking place in those papers.
I wasn't an English major and I never claimed to have perfect English, but dang, can you students at least try to sound coherent in a college term paper?
