I was born in 86, and my parents divorced in 92 (which for me was the first step down in quality of life, and I've seen a few other people throughout the years remark on 92/93 being a step down). From there on things really seemed to deteriorate. I know a lot of people point to the dot.com crash and 9/11 as major markers, but I think 2008 had a bigger impact of the socioeconomic climate then anything. I feel like I have been living my life of pause since 08, like a sort of safe mode.
What about the rest of you, especially you older folks that have been around longer? Was there a before and after year? Or years where there was a progressive and noticeable step down?
I think '01 was the key to it all. It got darker and darker because that was when Bush was given the power to open a great deal of evil on the Earth.
We are quick to forget we were in two conventional wars and several new and public proxy wars after that day.
That day also cause governments around the world to unveil their long awaited freedom and privacy killing laws. Like the Patriot Act follow by the NDAA.
Bush then passed that onto Obama and he took it to the next level for 8 years of Constitutional bleeding.
'01 and '08 are cursed years.
One thing I have noticed, that irritates me greatly is that 'patriots' that 'love America' only seem to come out when democrats are in power. These people are nowhere to be seen when Republicans are in office. It is massively frustrating to see people shit on Obama only to ignore the Bushes and Reagan. I even see it here.
Oh ya, Bush, Reagan and most are just patsies.
Reagan may have been a patsy ... I have no idea ... however, that man was hated by the DS. The left makes the 1980s seem like the most miserable time on the planet. If you haven't noticed, they rarely make any big movies/productions that involve the 1980s (there are exceptions ... like Stranger Things ... but they're few and far in between when compared to other eras the left loves to exploit). It's like they want that entire decade to vanish. The fact they call it "the decade of greed and excess" tells you everything you need to know about their feelings on individual success and liberty.
Anyway, Reagan had two big goals ... one was beating, not coexisting, with the Soviet Union. From 1981-1984, liberals worked overtime keeping the nation petrified that he was going to kill everyone in a nuclear war with the USSR. Of course, just a couple of years after Reagan left office, the USSR dissolved. The fucking press made it seem like Gorbachev with that bird shit on his head and his glasnost/perestroika bullshit was the reason ... heh heh, no.
Defeating the USSR was a world-changing success on Reagan's part and is more than likely half of the reason why he is hated by those freaks (part of the other half was the way Reagan proposed policy that got people back to work, brought interest rates down, and got the economy roaring ... the left hates it when people can become independent of government).
This achievement alone makes Reagan one of the greats in my opinion. Moreover, had HW Bush and Clinton not been DS trash, we probably could have had peace in our time by 2000 if we simply would have fucking worked with the Russians instead of letting the region collapse into turmoil. Instead, those two worked hard to insure that nothing was going to change ... tells you all you need to know about them.
Reagan's other goal was reducing the size of the Federal Government ... this didn't happen ... at all ... and he could have done a much better job in this department. He basically let the Rats spend like drunken sailors to get what he wanted. At first this made some sense ... the dollar was very strong back then and goods made in the USA on the world market were a tough sell due to the strength of the USD. However, it set the stage for the binge spending we've basically seen since then (there was a very brief return to sanity in the late 1990s thanks to the Contract with America, but Congress got sick of not being able to pork their way back into office. Bush put an end to fiscal sanity using 9/11 as an excuse).
Reagan also let the DS slip amnesty into law ... that basically handed California to the Rats in '92. However, part of that deal was supposed to involve border enforcement. Reagan, certainly, could have done a better job anticipating Congress doing jack shit about the border. By the time that fucker HW Bush came to power, illegal immigration was swept under the rug and forgotten until his retarded son assumed the throne.
If it comes to light that Reagan was DS, I will be stunned. Some of Reagan's speeches were beyond inspirational. I am not talking about ginned up garbage like the crap Obama spewed ... some of Reagan's speeches will be viewed and read hundreds of years from now by millions of people. He came at a time when people needed to be reminded what the United States are all about. The man set this country on a path to prosperity and reminded people that we are all individuals ... collectivist liberals will forever fucking hate him for that ... it means that they'd need another 50 years to create the socialist cesspool they dream about.
W Bush, and his fucking father, aren't patsies ... they bigger players in the globohomo scam. I doubt they're top-tier pieces of shit, but that family is certainly up there. If either Bush were a patsy, that would imply that they were being used. They weren't being used. They are in on it. They are both Rats that love war but hide that fact by using Jesus. Hopefully HW Bush is rotting in hell. I doubt we will see any kind of "awakening" when it comes to W too ... his stupid fucking "idiot gentleman" act doesn't work anymore.
Reagan didn't start off that way. But they came after him with assassination attempts and then his health went downhill.
6 Ways You Didn't Realize Ronald Reagan Ruined The Country
https://www.cracked.com/blog/6-objective-reasons-ronald-reagan-was-our-worst-president
I don't get why President Trump likes Reagan. I remember a lot going downhill with him. Closing mental institutions, creating homeless crazy people. Trickle down economics. Enjoying your job to feeling like you got hit with a train every day. Firing all the air traffic controllers and then airplane crashes.
When Facebook became a thing
I'd say things have been going down since JFK, but since i found this place im leaning towards 2 centuries or more ago.
I think things really started to go noticably downhill in 2000 starting with the .com bust, then 9/11 and everything else after that. I must say that the last 2 years have been the most difficult of my life but I still have much to be grateful for.
I think 2000 was when they started rigging presidential elections outright and perhaps Gore was supposed to win but got cold feet about presiding over 9/11 so they pushed in GWB at the last moment.
I never thought about the possibilty of Gore getting cold feet. That entire election was strange, hanging chads and all.
I think Bush won that election outright. Clinton was never as popular as the libs claimed, and Gore was as exciting as fresh dogshit. The fact that they announced FL going to Gore before polls closed statewide tells you that they wanted to tip things to Gore. People actually liked W Bush on the right ... the enthusiasm for Gore wasn't there in 2000.
That being said, I think that election was primed to divide the country. The entire Red vs Blue shit started in the aftermath of the 2000 POTUS election. I think they (the DS) saw an opportunity to help fuck things up and took it.
For me, it was the day 80’s hair metal died and Nirvana took over. That was definitely a shitty day and a temporal marker of the great decline.
Also when they started pushing shams like Rage Against (now on Behalf of) the Machine and other music that was just all "angry" often for no damn reason. Every teenager in the 90s was just angsty over the little thing, I should know I was one of them. I still enjoy a lot of my old music from that decade just not the mainstream stuff that was pushed and for some I see a different message in the lyrics that the writers had intended. Yes there is stuff to be angry over but it should be towards the puppetmasters who pushed us in this direction.
The only rock band from the second half of the nineties that really struck me is Fastball, whom I missed the first time around. The nineties were mostly not great for me like they were for everyone else, and it's only been in the last few years have I been really able to look neutrally at them.
For my lifetime, it was a few years into Bush senior’s presidency and not too long after Desert Storm. I was active duty During that time and they started making massive cuts in the number of ships, bases, and armament we had to work with. Also, they started pushing a bunch of other questionable actions like agenda 21, “don’t ask don’t tell”, and UN initiatives over American policies. That was 30 years ago when I was much younger and wasn’t into politics but one couldn’t help but sense something was amiss after having gone thru 8 years of Reagan and his America first style.
Remember the movie WWZ I kept getting pulled out of the movie when they kept talking about the President of the UN????? WTF who gives a shit about the UN. Then how the US military only cared about families who were important militarily. And would threaten to put people off the ships. Who made this movie.
TBH, the frog boil analogy seems apt. I knew something was wrong but could not figure it out. I was raising a new family so really distracted. But one thing triggered how bad it was. Hollywood started portraying ex military as dangerous and the "bad guy" in movies and TV shows. The propaganda was strong and I was like wait up what's going on. Who's making this shot. Ref: NON-STOP .
This is sort of related to another thing that has really begun to grind my gears. The glorification of the asshole and the villain. Psychopathy and sociopathy have become virtues. I noticed it about a decade ago.
Dexter, good guy serial killer. Was and as always will be the bad guy. No matter how they justify his reasoning.
You want my opinion? When the internet started going mainstream, right around 00/01.
1995, crack and gangster rap taken over culture.
I'm about 15 years older than you. 9/11 was definitely "the end" of the USA as I knew it growing up. It all fucking changed after that ... it's like they shifted out of first gear on 9/11 and have been accelerating ever since.
There are plenty of times throughout the 20th century where the left made inroads to "fundamentally change" the USA. You had socialists getting shit passed in the early 20th century (direct election of Senators vs. gubernatorial appointment, capping the House at 435, etc). You had FDR's expansion of government in the 1930s that crippled an already damaged US economy. You had Johnson's "War on Poverty" (any time you hear "War on ..." coming from the mouth of a DC scumbag, expect it to be a never ending war).
You had Nixon legitimizing China. You had Carter making a disaster of things in the Middle East and HW Bush going on a rampage to eliminate some "problems" they created there. You had Clinton pushing for giving China "most favored nation" status. All of these events worked to damage the fundamentals of the USA, but, again, nothing like what we've experienced the past 20 years. 9/11 seemed to be the "key" event for the left, their RINO buddies, and scumbag communists all over the world to put the pedal to the metal for a single, communist world government.
You got a taste of what was in store in the early 1990s ... when Clinton won, the Rats had the House, Senate, and White House. Cunty Clinton tried to shove her fucking Hillarycare garbage down people's throats. The media said that this was OK since Bill won in a landslide (I think Clinton is the only POTUS to ever win twice without having the majority of voters in either Presidential election ... that isn't a landslide and it would have been a lot closer had Perot dropped out). After the 1994 midterms, Clinton had to put an end to the sharp turn to the left his Cunt wife was selling. That 'hard left' shit didn't start again until W Bush slithered into office for a second term.
The dot com implosion in 2000 was a side effect of the times. The internet caught fire in the mid-1990s. That combined with Y2K fearmongering propped up tech stocks. There was a LOT of innovation going on in the tech industry. However, the media constantly reminded us that this was due to Bill Clinton. The media was trying to sell bullshit like "Clinton balanced the budget and created a surplus" (fucking lies ... it was a 'projected' surplus years out (long term projections are worthless in a dynamic world; balanced budgets are mostly due to the House too) and "The business cycle as we knew it is over ... it is going to be prosperous from here on out." Also, energy prices in the late 1990s were LOW. I remember paying as little as $0.89/gal of gasoline in my area ... it was a bit lower than that in the midwest and south. It was a perfect storm for record economic growth ... some of it "real", some of it "manufactured". NONE of it was due to Clinton though ... he had NO economic policy outside of a tax hike he wanted back in 1993.
Of course, the only person that disagreed with the assessment of Bill Clinton being responsible for all of this in liberal circles was Algore ... he claimed that he was responsible for the legislation that brought the internet to life (i.e. he invented it ... and his claims were fucking ridiculous ... the internet was shaped long before that fucking balloonhead even knew what a computer was), but I digress.
Anyway, once people started to come back to reality after Y2K turned out to be nothing but liberal fearmongering to convince people and companies to buy new computers they didn't need, the internet craze started to die off and thousands of companies hyped up by idiots (pets.com always comes to mind) imploded since they basically worthless. Companies were projecting growth to continue well beyond 2000 and were carrying tons of excess goods that basically didn't move throughout all of 2000-2001. End result was the dot com crash and a stagnant economy.
Still, even with the dot com crash, you felt that things would recover eventually. Just as things started to look promising again, 9/11 happened. Outside of tech advancements in things they can use to monitor us (computers and smartphones), it almost seems like time has stood still since that day. Bit by bit our liberties have been stripped. The Patriot Act (nobody will admit to supporting it now, but millions on the right, even on the far right, supported it back then ... the left didn't support it until Obama weaseled his way into office) basically put an end to anything resembling privacy. Political Correctness went from being a funny thing you'd see on TV here and there to "you obey these social rules or else we will unperson you" in under a decade. Liberals shoved global warming down our throats daily while the Republican Party did very little to refute their insane claims. It almost seemed like 9/11 was the event that the DS wanted to start the destruction of the USA as we knew it.
The worst is the demoralization we've experienced since then. All news has been bad since 9/11. All of it. The idiots that run the media leave no margin for optimism. If terrorists won't kill us, global warming will. If you wonder why millenials by and large seem out of touch and lethargic, keep in mind that they have spent their entire lives being told that the human race is garbage, that we are all going to die soon, and that the only hope mankind has is to embrace socialist bullshit. Couple that with the bullshit our schools fed these people for the 20 years they were forced to sit in public schools then released to universities, it's no surprise that the generations beyond Gen-X seem out of phase with reality (not all millennials of course ... but it's certainly a majority ... I just wonder why they wanted the millennials to fight the "boomers" ... I thought they were shaping them to fight Gen-X, but they have them blaming the baby boomers for some reason).
Sorry for the rambling ... put me in the "9/11 is what kicked off Globohomo 2.0" camp :-).
Born 87 here. During 01 things got way more serious. 08 things got depressing, looking back 08 may have actually been worse than 01 bc it was so dragged out. 14-15 is when clown world started up, and was my personal "there's no way there isn't some massive conspiracy" moment. Specifically seeing the Caitlyn Jenner magazine cover was a big moment. That to me symbolized that the conspiracy isn't just about stuff happening in DC, Hollywood, etc Now it's about disrupting people's day to day lives and their view of themselves.
And corona meant to me that there was nothing that they wouldn't try at this point. Enough of the public is that compliant now
Go back and watch a 90s NBA game on YouTube. Watch the commercials. Everything is so light and goofy, it's pretty jarring when you rewatch that stuff. The culture is so different now
Waco.
But wasn't fully realized until Obama.
Late 90s where a lot of the wars were a distraction. 9/11 and Patriot Act were a confirmation and a repeat of what happened with Vietnam and how government changed.
Right about when nafta fucked over everything and everyone
Carter was awful with gas lines. Reagan was a big step up, despite the media. Clinton beginning 92 had a facade of good living, where large parts of the economy did wonderful while other parts were siphoned off to China leaving empty factories and fields. The decline seemed to stop with Bush II, but picked up again with Obama. Throughout, the encroaching bureaucracy grew and grew, making "getting ahead" harder and harder. Slow and painful. Knowing that I was worse off than my parents late 90s early 00s, despite working hard and being more successful than many of my peers was bad; when I realized my kids were being set up to have it even more difficult, circa 2010, it was tough to acknowledge.
Depopulation via murder, Institution of Communism, Satan Worship (Includes child trafficking), Transhumanism -
Present day is the worst I've ever seen happen in America and all over the world.
They have been working on this for a LONG time. Decades. In fact, Dr. David Martin has patents showing they've been working and planning on the just the Corona virus since 2000. In 2020 they decided to make their move and implement their NWO. God Help Us.
