Honestly what’s weird is I am now working with Russians and I have the opportunity to go work / live in St Petersburg. Ten years ago that wouldn’t be tempting. Now? It’s absurd how stark the contrast is with my immediate liberal coworkers and the Russian ones. The locals are all freaking about Covid and the Russians are all “shut up it’s a cold” and don’t even wanna delegate time to the BS.
