Yup. Since zink inhibits viral replication it should work well against it.
This should be used for any virus. Zink has trouble moving through cells. So you should take it with Quercetin.
Thymoquinone (TQ), the main active ingredient of black seed oil, possesses antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, antimicrobial, immunomodulatory and anticoagulant activities. TQ also increases the activity and number of cytokine suppressors, lymphocytes, natural killer cells, and macrophages, and it has demonstrated antiviral potential against a number of viruses, including murine cytomegalovirus, Epstein-Barr virus, hepatitis C virus, human immunodeficiency virus, and other coronaviruses.
What's interesting to me is they used to have those zicam nose swabs. But they got pulled because they were causing people to lose their sense of smell. Some was permanent. When they first announced that was a symptom of covid, it reminded me of that.
I wonder if they pulled them because they worked too well? People who lost smell were abusing them like using 10 in a day and didn't follow the instructions on how to use them.
Huh...I didn't realize people who were abusing them or not following instructions were the ones having issues.
The lozenges don't cause that issue, even if someone takes more than recommended. I wonder if it has to do with the way it's absorbed? Nasal passages vs orally?
And that makes me question the COVID nasal swabs even more.
Yup, people were over using them so they (so they say) got pulled off the market. Supposedly they worked very well against the cold (corona virus) and I've know people to use them and say it cut cold time in half. I never tried them but just take Zinc in pill form.
Well, I had some and used them back around the time they were talking about people losing their sense of smell. I don't remember noticing much of a difference for the few I used, but I switched to the dissolving kind. I got too afraid to use the nose ones. They were in the medicine cabinet for years, but I looked and don't see them. I must have thrown them out at some point.
Now, I just take zinc and Quercetin and vitamins C and D, which seems to help a lot

Sounds like a natural derivative of Quinine.
Yep, been using zinc for 50+ years for cold and flu. Surprised its not common knowledge. It used to be when I was a kid.
Rush did commercials for it.
Yep, like Zicam at first sign of symptoms.

I like this brand. No sugar, made with honey. https://doublewoodsupplements.com/products/zinc-lozenges
I also drink Green Tea, because it has a compound that is like Hydrocloraquine that carry's the zinc into the cells.
Found these in my work places First Aide kit.
Took a handful for xxtra precaution. On Dr Z's protocol... Xxtra Zinc helps boost ones natural immunity
I remember my grandpa telling us about zinc lozenges back in the 80s make cold better.
cold eeze is a miracle drug, spread the word, works like a champ
And ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine are zinc ionophores that allow them to cross the cell barrier and kill microbes hiding inside your cells.
I've been using zicam along with my girlfriend. It works great at shortening colds to a couple days. She like the ones with elderberry in it too.
