I don't know about you guys, but food is up far more than 6.5 to 12.5% in my neck of the woods (the hellhole known as Minneapolis).
I would conservatively state that food prices at the grocery store are up by over a THIRD in the past year. My family is very fortunate in that this extra cost is merely an inconvenience for us, but I pray every night for the families that were just getting by prior to food prices skyrocketing.
The real inflation is in 15-20% range if you calculate it using the formulae used in 80s. The biggest job for the Fed and the Wall Street Banks right now is to manipulate prices as much as they can so that they can gaslight us.
They are reaching their limit. The moment the cat is out of the bag, they have to crash the economy. Its the inflection point we are reaching - everything will come to a head. All the plot lines in this glorious Movie.
Shopping for the same things that cost me $100 before now bring the bill closer to $250 so... I would agree

So glad its being talked about. I barely got out of debt thanks to my holy Lord helping me find Dave Ramsey - right in the middle of COVID. So happy to be out from under the thumb of debt but staying above water is taking much effort. I can’t wait for the end of this 🙏🏻
Congrats on your journey. I hear many stories from others that being debt free during or before the plandemic has been a huge blessing.

No way! I will never ever get back into debt! I never knew it wasn’t normal to be in debt - and then I saw how much I shoveled out each month for debt (highest was like 600$/mo just to pay off a car, credit cards and various other debts). I am free and money is looser, but its tight again because of our lousy lunatic claiming to be in the white house (but is he tho)

I don't think we can blame Biden entirely for this one unfortunately. The entire covid / covid response scandal has to be to blame here. Something like 80% of all the USD in circulation has been printed since 2020. It's hard to not see that as the primary source of inflation.
