20 years ago when i got into firearms there was soooo much cool shit to be had and i was making $4.75/hr lol
I go into gun stores now or check out the latest NRA mag and its all ghey AR variants, pistols with braces, or micro-wonder 9s from some former Soviet Bloc country or Turkey being sold by an American manufacturer.
I miss the days of having more guns i wanted than i could afford.
No
time to upgrade to nukes?
Lol idk maybe. I have a nice collection of deactivated WWII ammo including a 100lb practice bomb but the good stuff there has dried up since England will no longer allow mailing any deactivated shells. Had to leave a couple nice MK108 30mms on the table because I couldn't find a way to get them out of UK
Go back in time, to the days when the guns were made of wood and steel. I love watching historic gun documentaries, from muskets to trapdoors to SPAS-12
The SPAS-12 was always on my list but I just missed them. Could have had one or two but never did. They were starting to get scarce and pricy 3 years out from the AWB.
They make some nice over unders though I've never seen one in person
Get into long range shooting. That will put a dent in your pocketbook. Lol
I remember 4.75. I worked at Highs convenience store making fries chicken and running the cash register. More like 25 years ago
Yeah you're right I rounded down. Wishful thinking I guess lol
We may be better off going back to the mid 90’s
Set the way back machine for 1991
yea.
If this is some shitlord reverse mind trick to get me to go back to the range...well played.
Or, maybe, you're more a 'do-it-yourself'er and have access to a good machine shop?

Or, if you have the parking space...

Shit, at ammo prices today I'll never get bored. A 10-round magazine costs more than a tank of gas to fill up with good defense ammo. Not really, but you get what I mean...
Yeah that's part of what's killing it for me. If I'm gonna blow through a tank of gas in a few mags I'd like to do it out of something cool
The perfect number of guns to own, is the number you already have + 1
Lol I'm just saying, I'm hard pressed to find a good +1 at the moment lol
Have a venture into springers. One can plink from the back doorstep.
Like bb guns?
You will be amazed at the technological advances that have been made in airguns recently. Not kidding.
Thanks I'll check it out!
Not in the least.
Totally get your point, though. Seems like they're aiming so much content towards the AR realm. Most popular, I surmise.
I spent the better part of today prepping and priming 45 acp cases. Tumbling some 9x19, and getting ready to teach my son handloading tonight.
A good day all around!!!
That and the ultra small 9s for carry.
I looked at the 2022 shot show lineup for pistols and it was all tiny 9mms and a Browning hi-power lol.
I have big hands and I get the small carry gun thing, but they're not fun for me to shoot and IDK how many more 6 shot polymer frame DAO 9s we need lol. Keltec Ruger kahr and now Savage, Mossberg, and a couple others are jumping aboard
Right. 8,000 more glock safe action trigger knockoffs are a "good line up" for SHOT now.
Yeah I screwed around with the 3lb and 10lb "NYPD" disconnect options before but always came back to the 5lb standard
Yeah agree. I love my Glock 19. But I only need 1. Glock is the "little black dress" of firearms. Sleek simple and a killer. Can't improve on perfection
Shills are out in full force huh?
Ahh Im just yankin your leg
I think it is time to collect swords now
bored...are you kidding

A friend bought a gun recently that shoots everything from a can of beer to a golf ball. LOTS of fun!
Yes, the gun made a nice clean hole in my leg just yesterday.
The only thing that really matter is the steal.
No.
Not in the least…
Sucks that the gun magazines only show pretty guns no one can afford.
"Shooters" for one.
Save up your money and get you some of these:

The one at the end is a dream have. A soviet 152mm howizter. Privately owned. Legally.
Build a 6.5 grendel, fun, "new", relatively cheap.
Eh. You should've seen gun stores before the AR craze. It was all hunting rifles, sport pistols, and 1911's. Armalite revolutionized everything and helped modernize it with Glock and S&W.
Edit: you can always do what my buddy did and get into making your own ammo. Maybe take an online gunsmithing course. People laugh about those courses, but I know plenty of former Marines and Sailors who now build and service firearms on the side for real good money.
Oh believe me we had a GOOD gun shop to offset all the Fudd shops. Went there to buy a bolt action deer rifle at 18, left with an AK
