I notice they are increasingly setting up unreal expectations for relationships, so that your significant other watching will begin to expect certain responses that are unnatural, and failure to respond in the way the TV sets up as ideal is reason for catastrophe.

On the flip side, I am re watching the X files. Some of the episodes blow at my awakened mind. I find my self watching more to spot predictive programming. Asking myself is that a good guy trying to warn us or a rat shoving our nose in their shit? I am seeing things through a different lens these days. Most of my viewing is on stuff that is at running 30 yrs or older.

Miles Mathis actually just did a great re-watch of it I was just reading through the other day, which has some funny bits and does a good job as identifying the show as another deepstate/hollywood production. I still marvel that Hollywood begged Terrence Malick to come back and make The Thin Red Line. what a masterful work of art that can change one's outlook, like how conflict is not just in war it weaves into every thread of life that's inescapable. And even Sean Penn had a meaningful role
