Once dishonest - can be dishonest many times. And that is more important argument, especially when they can again harm one group and favour the other when it comes to payouts and amounts.
All the above leads to the question that needs to be investigated: Are they only dishonest when it comes to blocking selected activities or also when it comes to the payouts and real amounts?

Interesting thought. Nothing stops them from cooking their books and showing only part of the collections as coming for the convoy. Would take months to even audit if at all someone even suspected this. I would rate the chances as moderate to high.
On the other hand, while it took a week to raise 9 mil on GFM, most people are refunding and re-donating on GiveSendGo, sometimes even upping the amount due to the feels. So its quite conceivable that it reached 1.5 mil so quickly.

They could easily grift off of any "viral" tragedy that triggers deep emotion. Simply skim whatever off of the top of every "cause/fundraiser" Just like goolag/yootoob manipulate the data to present whatever they want.
Also all the celebs and "elites" encouraging plebs to donate to blm... maybe they were getting kickbacks from the slush-fund skim - Or was that actblue
Agreed, but we cannot assume that everyone will repeat. Maybe people may not be aware of the issue or may not want ot repeat as a result of distrust so may not want to try the other provider.
If 50% repeat and half of this double the amount - it's still 75% only.
On the other side: there can be more people joining now to show support so that would count in plus.
It's hard to estimate what the real numbers are so "investigate" can be the only way to go.
I also know there was a large amount of people who weren't donating to the Truckers, because they knew GFM would fuck them over, and once they moved to GSG, they were happy to donate.
I'm one of those people, so it doesn't surprise me that a lot of people who were hesitant the first time, are now donating.

I donated to the Wall and things got weird.
But now I'll donate on the other platform, if for no reason other than out of spite.
With no accountability they could have taken in 100 million and nobody would ever know!

I figure that is why they said there was no sense in filling out a request for a refund and they would do it automatically. After a few weeks they would keep the money. BUT most that donated did so with credit card and you can dispute the charge for a month or more. The credit card companies are not going to suck it up. I figure this is the END of that left wing theft organization. No telling how much they steal from donations. I'll bet Kyle Rittenhouse raised more than 50 million and he got 2 million. No accountability and even if there was, it would be small fine and nobody goes to jail! As the song said, "a man with a briefcase can steal a lot more money than a man with a gun"!
Other groups raised $ in his name, but not to help him. #Fightback helped him & provided the receipts aka proof aka evidence.

Forensic audit needed, that data can come out in discovery, especially when truckers can get donors to verify they made a donation.

I'd been wondering the same thing these past few days. While there's no proof that they did (because we have no way to see the actual data for the fundraiser), I think the fact that a) they could easily get away with it, and b) they're soulless commies, means they definitely stole some of the money.
The convoy was clearly organized by people who know their shit, so I'm wondering if this was all allowed to play out in order to expose Go Fund Me's bias to the world, as well as their laundering of money for the DS and their financing of marxist domestic terrorism. Look at the backlash they've received for simply blocking the money for the convoy, I don't think the platform could survive being exposed for outright theft. Maybe that's the plan. And once that's out people would start digging into all of their previous fundraisers...

I received a refund from gofundme today that was less than my donation amount...
What % is the difference?
If 1.5% - 2.5% it's a payment provider charge.
If more - their commission is included.
In both cases - they should refund 100% if the transaction hasn't been completed as a result of their own decision.
You can claim the chargeback for the difference. They will pay extra $$ chargeback fees.
Same thing happened to me. I paid $21.01 on 1/23/22 and their "pending" credit is only $20.52 in my online banking. Imagine if they retained a certain percentage from every donation, we've all made a big difference in their bottom line without intending to!! I want every penny back!

You need a really strong position, otherwise VISA and MasterCard and banks will ignore you and you won't be able to collect payments.

Viral is exponential growth. You can’t make a linear projection from the steepest part of the curve. Plus GFM passed off a lot of donors so they probably made an emotional decision to donate more. There’s also a shit ton more publicity now.
Maybe GFM chargeback losses would have a clue. Like if there were 1000 donors and we knew for a fact what the chargeback fee is for them, and losses were near 100% or greater…
Best way to find out is to file a chargeback
