Where are those shills who were trying to convince us not to vote for that "rino" Youngkin? I want to rub those shill noses in every Youngkin victory for us.
I’m not one of those shills but I can understand their hesitancy. How many times has Lucy pulled the football and Charlie Brown landed right in his ass. I feel that way when I think of Lindsey graham, Marco Rubio, and to some extent with General Flynn and that crew as well. We’ve been used and abused - it’s hard for some to trust.
Not when the alternative is handing Soros stooge McAuliffe another term, which is what not voting would have done. Not when most of those shills don't even live in this state. There are people here who stupidly and yes I mean stupidly think that not voting is what should be done without considering that only hands an election to the Dems without a fight. And that's how they learned it was easy to cheat, because of the huge numbers of people who never bothered to vote year after year. Used an abused is no excuse because voting and keeping our governments out of the hands of people who don't believe in liberty is not just our right it is and always has been our duty. Even when it's hard. Even when somebody might try to cheat. So, no, I don't understand and never will.
One can still vote and not be surprised when their vote is stolen from them anymore.
One can also choose to sit on their ass bloviating about it or get offended and do something about it.
Exactly! I've said if the ones bloviating aren't shills, they're the same people who always blathered on about their political opinions while bragging they never voted because all politicians are the same. They have no intention of getting off their asses and doing something about it. BTW, I have asked every one of them to enlighten us with what they are doing right now to fix 2020. Not one ever answered.
That said, though, I refuse to fall into "VOTE THIS PARTY SO THE OTHER PARTY CAN'T WIN" because I'd prefer to see the knife as it goes into my back
That'll show them.
It is better to vote for someone you can have faith in than for someone just because they're "your guy".
See: Dems voting Biden just because he wasn't Trump. Being like that is just being retarded. Sorry, not sorry. Morality dictates not voting for traitors, regardless of whether they pretend to be on our side or not. Only a retard with a smooth brain would vote for our side even if they know they're just going to fuck us.
Someone has a word-of-the-day calendar.
Bloviate is a fun word
some very good point that I did not think of - Thank you for the conversation! :)
Thanks for taking it as it was intended, Ssue.
So far he's keeping his campaign promises......
Youngkin was co-CEO of the Carlyle Group, which has Bush-Cheney ties. Since, humans are more or less linear in the formation of judgment, it is not difficult to understand why many people were, and still are, skeptical about Governor Youngkin.
I'm pleasantly content with what I am seeing from Youngkin. Consider the following though: if Youngkin's State Attorney General, Jason Miyares' wasn't so tightly allied with the Governor, would we still be seeing these results?
I really believe the State Attorney General Jason Miyares needs to be credited for adding teeth to Youngkin's EOs. Time will tell us how well violators of Youngkin's EOs are being held accountable for their disobeying the Governor's orders.
Yet again ignoring the fact that the alternative was another term for that sewer rat McAuliffe. So, no, it's not "natural." Yeah, I had some concerns about Youngkin too but there is no way I was going to not vote. BTW, did you attend the convention? Work at any polling location as a poll watcher?
So it seems by your word usage your own "concerns" would put you in league with "shills". Do you see the paradox here. My point is there's nothing wrong with skepticism, especially in regards with a politician having ties to Neocons. I don't know if Youngkin qualifies as a "RHINO", but I do believe the vetting process for candidates like him has to improve. VA might have gotten 'lucky' here. We can't afford to have fortune and luck to defeat Marxism in government and return us to our Constitutional republic. So far Youngkin is doing a surprisingly good job.
Again, I believe State AG Miyares 'might' have something more to Youngkin's successes than meets the eye. When a governor has the AG's back, that tends to be a powerful force for change.
As far as VA is concerned, I'm not a resident there. I once lived there a long time ago in that certain SE corner of the State along Atlantic and Pacific Avenues. I do really congratulate and commend the grassroots effort there in VA and believe it is a model for patriot republicans in other states to follow.
My word usage? LOL No, my slight concerns have absolutely nothing to do with what the shills were doing. Like the others trying to tell us what we should do, you don't live here but you can tell us all about what we should do? What state are you in? Me and a few other Virginians want to make sure we tell you who you should vote for, whether you should vote at all.
And so far I'm 100% on the people with the most opinions on Virginia elections having done nothing to work on those elections. That's the real paradox here.
BTW, a rhino is an animal with a large horn. A rino is a Republican in name only.
'You call 'em the way you see'em.' But, that doesn't mean you're related to Howard Cosell or correct. A republican hypocrite in name only is also a rhino. It's an amazing world we live in when one can view it from different vantage points. Thanks for taking the bait....
Nothing changes until there are consequences to breaking the law. If the school administrators defy this law and don't get perp walked, then it's all a joke.
What makes you say there won't be consequences? However, I think eventually the best course is going to be to give parents vouchers to pay for alternatives and let those corrupt schools close. BTW I'm a grandparent with no kids in school and one year away from having no grandchildren in public schools. So I have no personal benefit from my tax dollars going to parents other than not living in a community with ignorant, brainwashed people coming out of those schools.
Elections matter!!
I think there needs to be some clarification on this. The news article above seems to only involve the parents from the Chesapeake region. I believe that all the large school districts such as fairfax, Arlington, prince william,etc.. are still requiring masks.
I live in Arlington and the kids in schools here are all still wearing masks.
It is factual as a precedent - the remaining cases have every chance of being found exactly the same. Zugzwang in Chess - no moves can save their side, and all moves bring us closer to the now known end point.
Caveat: Not an attorney (but would love to hear one weigh in on this…)
At issue is the in-effect EO(-02) in play which prohibits a school district from mandating masking a child against a parent’s will. Every school district that requires students to mask against their parents’ will defies the order. Let’s see what teeth Youngkin has…
The decision to dismiss the lawsuit in the Chesapeake region:
This decision is a signal that the court does not believe that Karens should be able to force other parents to go along with masks. Keep the wind coming!
Step 2: Any teacher or school administrator that segregates or punishes students who choose to not wear a mask will be fired and their teaching licenses revoked. No backpay/vacation payout/ money of any kind.
Kid gloves off. Fuck these people.
The Commies running the schools in Northern VA will just ignore the order. They don't care. Let's see what kind of backbone Gov Youngkin has. This is a good challenge for him.
I would LOVE to see the VA National Guard called up to force the schools to allow unmasked students in. How is this any different from the Civil Rights movement of the 60's? If the NG can be used to desegregate schools once before it can be done again.
Yep. The NoVA school districts think they can get away with ignoring the governor and the VA Supreme Court, because they found an activist NoVA judge to rule in their favor, AND because they THINK they have the majority of public opinion on their side. The new governor needs to quash the rebellion happening in these school districts before it has any more chance to take root.
Add the words -- "for common sense". The worship of the CDC and FDA need to end. Their words are NOT gospel.
