I disagree. I have zero doubt that Trump activated Continuity of Government on his way out, and by extension Devolution. However legally his first term did expire on 1/20/2021. If he is to return to the office, he will either need to be elected again, or appointed. The Speaker route is a means to do so legally.
I'm not a lawyer, but my opinion just based on my observations and reading is that the US currently does not have a President. Biden is the head of an occupation government, and the executive power of the legitimate government in exile is distributed among the devolution staff. Trump communicates and gives orders to them through unofficial channels, making him the de-facto shadow president. PatelPatriot talked about this in one of the devolution articles, although which one escapes me at the moment (It is the one that talks about the EO for the Federal Mission Resilience Strategy)
In my opinion, devolution will end with the removal of the Biden occupation regime and the appointment of an interim President (my money right now is on Chuck Grassley). The interim President will be the one to carry out the arrests we have been waiting for, after which he will step down to hand the Presidency back to Trump via the speakership.
And the sweet part is, Trump will be able to pretend he had nothing to do with any of it. No one will be able to call it a "coup".

Again? He got elected in 2020. He won the election. Never conceded. Won with at least 410 electoral votes (and probably many more, once the fraud in the 50 states is fully revealed).
We as a unit need to never stop saying this and calling Jan 6 what it was, a Peaceful Patriot Protest.
I agree with everything you wrote until the point:

This assumes that speakership is the only way for Trump to get back into power. Why would you preclude other options such as interim elections, or reverting the fraudulent elections?
People like him are under the impression that because the Constitution does not explicitly outline a remedy that one is not there or cannot be created as this is the first time such an event has happened -- or at least, happened in such an obvious and grotesque way with so many eyes on.
Those both are other possibilities. My main point is that the "fixing" of the election is not gonna be as simple as "Biden out, Trump back in".
A more likely scenario, I believe, is that the 2020 election will be declared to be tainted beyond recovery, and that Biden's role in the rigging will be exposed, thus disqualifying him from the office. If such is the case, then the most likely scenario would be either new elections are ordered, or the next person in the line of succession is installed. Currently there is no one in the line of succession who is not a product of rigged elections, but if fraud is proven in a single Senate race (we know there were at least 4 in 2020), or Manchin ditches the Ds, that returns the Senate to R control and puts Grassley back in the line of succession, hence my suggestion that he might be the acting President at some point down the line.
Another important point I would raise. My reasoning for "precluding other options" and suggesting that there might be an interim President after the occupiers are removed is also based on the question of whether Trump would want to be overtly in charge when mass arrests do take place. Like it or not, many people are going to believe that it is a coup at first, so my answer to that question is "no". I could always be wrong, but Trump did say in 2020 "there will be a time when you might not hear from me for awhile".
Another possibility is that I am still thinking too small entirely. We shall see...

Technically it ended in 2020 if you remember the "screw up" on the White House website.
If so, the vaccines weren't on him. That could mean that he was pushing them as misdirection.
I remember, there was that random State Department memo saying his first term ended on 1/9, or sometime thereabouts.
