This was probably a hit, serving his time in a federal prison, he knew to much. Remember when Whitey Bulger was transferred to another prison, dead within 24 hours.

A large number of prison inmates were abused in one way or another during their childhoods. Plus, many inmates have younger family members; children, cousins, etc. who they care about.
Serious animosity from at least some inmates (many of whom are in prison for violent crimes) towards child abusers is inevitable.

Even the most hardened prisoners are sickened at the idea if harming a child. There's a chance their own dark path started that way themselves. Child predadors deserve no quarter, millstones for all.
