It is precisely to close out that loophole. They can seize your digital currency electronically and they can also steal your physical assets as well. The difference is they can't track your physicals assets as easily (servers vs having to physically search you).

I agree that physical assets or gold and silver are very smart to hold for long term but I also know that cryptocurrency is the future because it destroys centralized banking, which is the reason I believe that we have most of our problems in the world

Both support the freedom movement but its awful hard to donate physical silver. For many of us crypto was sending two fingers to the bankers and when this story is revealed I think that will count among the many protests that will take them down.
