This may be a dumb thing to say, but I don't get the excitement about Truth Social. My assumption is only Trump supporters and/or conservatives are signing up for it. So, doesn't that mean it's either preaching to the choir (and not making censored info available to the normies), or another version of Gab? I can't see Trump and Co posting declass info on it because of the hell storm it would bring and the appearance to and connectivity with Trump (remember the optics). I can't see any legacy media airing the info even if they did. These thoughts bring me right back to asking what's the point of the new platform. Is it solely to be able to say we have an alternative to your censoring? I suppose my real point is how does the new platform bring new people into the fold or expand the movement without being where those people are? Am I missing something?
Thanks for the reply. Read your post and have wondered the same thing. Also wondered about the practical logistics of tanking a company like Apple. I suppose we'll find out.
It is an offensive move rather than defense, which is what we've been doing. The violence in Ottawa for example would get full-on 24/7 coverage with no suppression. Like how the sky is lit by an explosion.

Like many other internet phenoms, it's nothing ... until it's big. Rogan will be one of many, bringing a host of leaders across many demographics. And Trump's sweet, sweet tweets... the reporters that compete to bash him will all need accounts to get the scoop.

What this will do is allow us to organize without the fear of getting banned for face censorship... Facebook has already recently proven this by removing Trucker Groups from trying to organize in protest!

When someone posts and it gets removed, it is gone. However even if the info is shared between us at first, it will be somewhere, easy to find and share.
It has to do with the number of people that would sign up. Gab is good, but it doesn't have the critical mass that Trump's name would draw. Right now, the "uncensored social media" is too fragmented, a bunch of chimpanzees with no gorilla. We need a gorilla to counter Twitter.

Normies will go in because they will want to go in to slam all the people they claim are posting disinformation. So yes it does make sense. Also DCLAS means its been declassified so can be posted on line. What I dont understand is why you seem to think normies wont take the opportunity to spread their poison.
You make a good point. However, to me it doesn't seem practical from a normie pov because they have nothing of substance to survive such an approach. Back when posting on twitter was a thing, when I saw a normie shown to be a fool they deactivated their accounts or demanded bans/censorship. Their egos can't handle even a rational discussion of an opposing view. I can't imagine them being able to withstand comments in which pedes are not holding back, and don't fear or worry about censorship. Normie heads will explode. That's why I don't think they'll be on there.

It would be nice if Truth Social actually worked. I have tried using two different browsers (Brave and Firefox) to get on the waiting list, but got a "405 Not Allowed" error on both. Eventually people will give up on it and never go back again.

People will try again. I don’t think the people signing up day one are casuals Trump supporters.

He's not going to post the declass info -- It will be released by various sources, then it is up to US to post it on Truth, then link to it from Facebook, Twatter, etc. THIS is what we have been trained for.
