A local package store of some size posted a sign last week saying that in support of Ukraine they will not be stocking Russian vodka. Virtue signalling at the retail level rarely works and never does anything substantive. It was a big story on the local "news" stations.... sigh.... the stupidity continues....
Call once in a while and ask if they have stoli's.
Ha! Well, I'm a recovering alcoholic, 33 years clean and sober, so I've been "boycotting" them for decades now... and they probably haven't even noticed. Hehehe....
Congratulations on 33 yrs!!! That is an amazing journey of personal battles won-jeep it up :-) My hubs is 3-1/2 yrs in- it's work (esp these days)
Besides meeting my wife and being happily married for many years, getting sober is one of the best things that ever happened to me. I still attend two meetings per week and live a day at a time. Best of everything to you and your husband.
And while I suspect you're too modest to admit it, I'm willing to bet that you're an inspiration for the young men in those meetings as well.
Well they call me an old timer and I'm sponsoring 5 new guys, but I can't keep what I have unless I give it away. I'm just one of the lucky ones....some alcoholics never make it to the rooms of AA. But I'm studying to be no one special, humility is one of the core values of AA.
But but they are kicking Russia out of da Olympiczzz
PA state stores have done same
The irony is Smirnoff Vodka… is a British brand (now).
I can't afford to throw out old clothes because of Biden's economy.
Unpopular opinion:
I don't care where it's made, if it's a decent product that I like I'll probably buy and it use it. I won't use it with pride, or with shame. I'll just use it.
Excrement popular opinion:
Now that bring said, I'd 'prefer' not to purchase a product that was made with conflict diamonds assembled by black African Jewish boys forced into slave labor factories in Foxconn... But... I really need that iPhone 17 with six cameras and an always-on tritium display. Worrying about radiological workers is so passe. It's not like they're Radium girls or anything.
