The Bible was written about 1,900 years earlier. A bit of a fuzzier picture from that distance, but if you read it, you won't be too surprised at what's been happening.
The bad news is that even if The Great Awakening successfully happens, it will eventually become undone. The good news is that God wins in the end, and He will gladly have you on His side if you have repented of your sins and believed on His Son.

Books about the NWO have been written looong before 1989. That's pretty recent in fact, by 1989 the structure and implementation of the NWO was already kicking. Books from the early 20th century, that's where it's at.
