I don't think it marks a shift at all. Everyone has known that courts favor women regardless of anything. I don't see this changing because of this trial.
At this stage, it's playing out more like Amber Heard's own lawyers are intent on helping Depp.
Some of the "Cat Lady's" cross-examinations, especially in the recorded depositions, have been absolutely devastating for her own case. She actively seemed to pursue lines of questioning any nonce would understand could sink her own ship.
And then she and Rottenborn go on to make themselves look like complete pricks in the live testimonies. I've never seen someone so adept in making themselves look like insufferable quislings to standard procedure.
I'm constantly reminded, especially with cases like this, that although the court system was created to preserve justice it's often reduced to games and one-upmanship. Lawyers have such an important job, and they often do a terrible job because of several factors (ego, reputation, etc).
Case-in-point, Heard's team is going straight for emotional appeal, allowing Amber to make baseless claims, together with hearsay, to slander Johnny Depp while protected on the stand. Her testimony is bizarre, the evidence doesn't support her story, and there's a complete lack of corroboration from witnesses. Her lawyers are letting it play out, but so are the plaintiffs...
The judge has made some strange decisions, too. "What, if any..." is going to be the new legal phrase to get out of trouble!
But, as the landscape currently rests, I see only two outcomes being sought:
White Hats are putting on a show (or letting one run its due course) so that CancelCulture can finally have a chink in its armor that can be further exploited by the common man.
Black Hats are using this to further entrench Men vs Women to prepare for a post-Awakening era comeback riding on what will come to be known as the Sex Wars, whereby Men and Women are pitted against one another in a fiery battle resulting in widespread distrust in the opposite gender to the point of violence. Men will win the battle, as they have factually the greater cause to claim mental and systemic abuse at the hands of overbearing custody and property laws, and women will face an opposition fully intent on rescinding woman's suffrage, declaring them as emotionally charged and incapable of sound reason. The benefactors of the movement will be, of course, DeepState actors, playing both sides against one another and then pinching the ill gotten gains at the final moment, as they are wont to do. Powerful men have always seen women as tools, and their greatest discovery is in the efficacy of convincing women that they can empower themselves by diminishing all those things that make women unique and wholesomely feminine.
As it stands, I think the former is the more likely, but I'm foolishly optimistic as it pertains to such things.

What then would you gauge as an indicator that things are on the right path?
Short of a celebrity-driven court case such as this, I can't think of a way normies can learn about just how vile CancelCulture had become.
It is indeed not playing out like a normal man vs. woman court raping. I hope you're right about the awareness Sleepy.
I hope I am too.

Depp turns my gut like Elon, no thanks. They (msm) are protecting one of their own by saying everything pro Depp much akin to propaganda.
They are both evil. What's good is the credibility if Hollywood should go down. Both of these people are scum
I don't disagree with you there.

You're not approaching this with any nuance lol.
