I am so livid over this! Just watched the news conference by the DPS - how DARE they think that their lives are more important than those children. They waited for an HOUR (waiting for shields etc) before going in. They are public servants and take an oath to PROTECT and serve. As a Texas taxpayer - i want my money back!
Edited to add: there is a special place in hell for these type of people! ALL of them.
I watched the same presser. Local cops were in the school within minutes and taking rounds from the shooter before he locked himself in the classroom. It took an hour to get the swat team and others there.
These things used to be really easy for them. This might be the FF that ends up costing them everything. Oh, and the can blame Beta as well, who thought this was an opportunity.
And the taxpayers will still be on the hook for paying all of these families when they sue the city, county and state of Texas. It’s awful, just awful.
It was a single Mexican tranny, it wasn't hanz gruber with 20 accomplices. Even if it was, when it became clear he didn't want to take hostages but to execute children THAT should have precipitated action. If you don't want to do the job then don't be a fucking cop. Go work at Starbucks with the other Mexican trannies.
Exactly. Fuck these bitches who want to be cops for the "easy" life.
If you can't do the main thing your job entails, which is to protect the community with your gun, than GTFO
Tell me they didn’t have the ability to shoot through the window and kill him or take a battering ram to the door. You don’t take an hour to negotiate with a killer with a gun locked in the room.
The BP who stopped it broke police cordon and went in by himself. It didn't just take an hour, the cops sanctioned the killing spree by arresting anyone trying to stop it.
Lord Jesus,
Bring any who obstructed JUSTICE and saving of lives to their bitter end. This is pure evil, please do NOT let it stand.
In your Almighty name,
Amen
I am curious why a border patrol team took the guy out. What was their jurisdiction in this matter? This town is not on the border and this kid from what I understand was a US citizen. I heard that law enforcement had possibly tried to engage him prior to him getting into the school - but what law enforcement agency was that? Was it the border patrol and he got away from them? After all, where in the hell does an 18 year old that was supposedly poor get weapons like that and body armor? Was this a Fed operation that went off the rails really badly? If it was a Fed operation, the local police would have been told to stand down. That could explain why they did nothing.
Not sure how they are going to weave the story if this is the scenario that took place. If the Feds had him under surveillance and in the process of that investigation let him get away and a bunch of people died because of it, damn. How much of the blame is local law enforcement willing to take if they were told to stand down and let the Fed boys handle it?

Taxpayers must demand a refund for paying for this level of dereliction of duty. A civil class action is in order.

What on earth was he trying to say anyway when he stormed into that meeting?

Uvalde is a little tiny town about an hour an a half from San Antonio. They don't have a swat team. 15k people in that little town.

He was born in NDakota.
15k population is not a "tiny little town".
For those types of resources, it absolutely is. The school district had a "police force", where were they?
Well it is considering the populations of the major cities around them.
I think you're missing my point. They don't have a swat team.

yes they do

I have heard reports today that the CBP (who killed the shooter) had to get the principal to UNLOCK THE DOOR?
Don't worry. When they get handed that "no knock" warrant, they won't be stopped by lack of key.
If that’s the case, then how does that explain the parents outside frantically trying to get in to save their kids?
The BP who stopped it broke police cordon and went in by himself. It didn't just take an hour, the cops sanctioned the killing spree by arresting anyone trying to stop it.
They now get to explain the rest of their lives about what silly bitches they are and how they attempted to hold parents back.
