The case of airman Shaver, Jimmy who murdered a three year old girl, but had no memory of it...he was experimented on at the airbase for his “bad migraines” but may have been a victim of MKUltra research, and implanting false memories.
US soldiers in Korea who were “brainwashed” by the Soviets and came back telling of bioweapons they sprayed all over Korea... (they were brainwashed by CIA and probably did release bioweapons)

I grew up in the 1980s and we had really really high profile people who were shot by crazy people - John Lennon, the Pope, the freaking POTUS Ronald Reagan, and that one actress whose name I forgot but she was the reason we have all of these anti-stalking laws now.
Besides the Congressional softball game practice, I cannot even think of the last time a famous person was shot by a crazy random person.
