Doing a 180 on the subject:
Vid games ARE used...........as programming/training for some mk assass.
See:
Real Life Video Game! | Derren Brown - Trick Of The Mind | FULL EPISODE
Youtube for an example.
Some games (like the illuminatti cards) were used to create scenarios like Operation Looking Glass does now. Giving power groups a point system that varies depending on how groups align with or against each other. And those groups actually exist.
Other video games are of course Game Theory and are little short of tools to form opinion or reaction and/or data is farmed from each players 'decisions' like an algorhythmic grade of profile. Personality profile based on your decisions.
The subject matter is predictive programming and/or twisted histories.
Finally, online game comm channels have/had 'secret' or 'back channels' where blackhats could communicate without being snooped.
Gregory Hill aka Malcalypse the Younger, one of the originators of Discordianism...................I believe he 'disappeared' and became a Game Theory guru at Southern Illinois U. (?) utilizing learned propaganda techniques using mythic and symbolic storylines as delivery agents.
As time and tech changes, so do the methods.
Like tv, vid games could be the greatest teaching/learning tool imaginable, but no, it gets controlled and ruined immediately for that exact reason.
Knowing this, I was able to predict the 'Bat flu' as a coming event from a video game, as well as 'monkeypox'.

The Funniest Movie Trailer Ever! "The Simian" - Grand Theft Auto V
GTA game is showing the co-operation between blackhat industries, each operating as cutouts on a need-to-know basis.
Same with Red Dead Redemption 2 and Assassin's Creed Odyssey
Most all are apocalyptic in one way or another.
What he said was: "Tragedies like the events of this week are a mirror forcing us to ask hard questions, demanding that we see where our culture is failing. Looking at broken families, absent fathers, declining church attendance, social media bullying, violent online content, desensitizing the act of murder in video games, chronic isolation, prescription drug and opioid abuse, and their collective effects on the psyche of young Americans,"
Interesting that he omitted the woke grooming agenda permeating through the education system. But I wouldn't expect Ted to call out the establishment.
Oh, he failed to call out Hollywood, too. No surprise from that poser.
You’re criticizing him for leaving out one thing? C’mon man!
My critique of Ted is based on the sad reality that Ted is an establishment putz. His yip-yap about vidya games, while omitting Hollywood, and the education system is clear evidence of that fact. It's agenda driven tripe.
We have the worst, nihilist media, video games included.
Everything is grimdark try hard edgy bullshit
Or "serious" and "mature" drama
And when people aren't watching HBO or prime time TV/netflix, they're listening to podcasts..
But not Bible studies, or political analysis, or educational ones..
No...true crime. Just true crime. Hundreds of true crime pod casts with millions of subscribers each
Our media IS TO BLAME for people's mental and emotional state
What happened to Saturday morning cartoons and anime?
Are there any family friendly sitcoms on prime time?
Why don't they ever just show a good movie before the news?
It's all to destroy our people's minds.
In Korea they show cute animal videos everyday on network TV so people destress a little
Half the stuff on NHK in Japan is cultural or educational
I mean.... to be fair you are right, but I think it's more of a cultural thing. If he said, it is our culture and us moving away from God, then I can get with that.
But saying video games... he's alienating young people who might vote republican.... which I guess is a moot point anyhow because voting means shit.
Yeah I agree with some of you guys. I just think blaming video games for mass shootings is retarded.
If you want to blame culture and the lack of God in homes, then that is fine, but to sum it up saying derp video games and church, it makes you sound like an idiot.
I've played games my whole life and and I'm indie game dev... and this shit alienates people who might agree with everything else.
I mean blame violent thug culture, movies and the glorification of violence in society in general... would be better then to single out video games.
That's the point though. Those who do play video games (especially rts and some rpgs) are a bit more aware (for better or worse) than others. Not meant to demoralize but to bring to light the point that those who engage with digital augmentations of reality have more inclination to expand their perception of actual reality. Exorcising that part of the population over and over is meant to demoralize them to the point where they ignore it. We don't need to ignore it, we need to use the pattern recognition, input systems and logical interfacing we do with technology to our advantage and look deeper. Most of us already do, and that's why they continue to use this line like a broken record. Because "gamers" get blamed rather than the politicians who should be taking the blame for not stopping tragedies themselves.
Sometimes he is.
Cruz is about as low of a bar that a Republican politician should be.
Unfortunately, he outpaces a great many current Republican politicians.
The article seems like it was already written before adding a politician, and Cruz just fit the bill. It's an anti-gun piece first, with gamer flair.
I don't even know what your article is about, but I updooted cuz your title is true
There is a lot of truth to that.
The more I learn the more I realize that every piece of crap that ever went to Washington is a scumbag.
