It's tricky because the angles of the 2 photos are not the same, unless the same camera was used at the same settings there could be different "fisheye" distortion. (Factors I would not have known without having looked into photogrammetry some time ago)
That may seem true but in reality, facial warp reveals things that may be missed with side by side. Since side by side, you are basically playing the game of "find the similar things" sort of like this: Image. What I do here is actually do a side by side comparison and then warp them. The warp always reviels more than what I found.
Wasn't the same photo of the operator the same guy in the keyboard warrior photo? I can't find it, but that would be a third data point if someone can dig up the image.
Okay, the two head shots were shot on different mm lenses. In order to get absolute accuracy, you have to figure out the “mm” of one image and then warp the other to match that “mm.” Since their faces are facing the same angle, you should be able to get a pretty damn accurate comparison.
