As a boomer and product of the 70s and 80s… I can testify that today’s weed is waaaay to strong for us old folks. I can’t go in public after 2 hits so I basically quit. No big deal really but it was always nice to go along with my Les Paul when I cranked it up!
Agreed. Nowadays the strain you pick means EVERYTHING. I can't use indicas anymore cuz I have a full time job and family to support. I ain't got time to be glued to the couch anymore kek. A nice sativa with a good buzz and a gentle let down is what I like. Sour diesel is my favorite right now. Doesn't make me tired at all
I'm a product of the 90's and 00's. The stuff they have now is the shit that killed Super Man. I like to treat weed like a supplement instead of a drug. It's hard to find good low THC strains now. I do like to break out the black Strat after a nice joint.
Sorry, but y'all must've been lightweights back in the day, or you were smoking mexican ditch weed. There IS no 'two toke' pot now (except for said lightweights).
The pure lines have been interbred genetically, some even with fruit.
There was no testing of THC levels back in the day, you were the gauge.
Different TYPES of THC are now elevated over others and sinsemilla dominates.
Seedless..........think mule.
You may disagree, but there's just no comparison IMHO as a person who got the right stuff back in the day and have been a daily smoker ever since.
Anything below 25 is just 'chasing the tail' and it all tastes like Fruit Loops.
Give me Acapulco Gold or Panama Red any day.
Since NO testing of levels was done in the past, the DS can get away with fooling most of the people most of the time.
back in the days of my puppyhood, green was as rare as hen's teeth all we could get hold of was what is known today as Soap Bar, a mysterious rock hard brown substance of mysterious content.
You also get the bad actors who lace it/soak it before selling the weed. I agree, there's established benefit shown to the unadulterated stuff but greedy and sick people foul things up for the good folk. In everything, it seems.

I have a medical cannabis license. You must need to find the right strain. A good bud tender can give you a recommendation

We’ll to be fair, I would but it isn’t legal here yet

You were about 25 years too late.
You also get the bad actors who lace it/soak it before selling the weed. I agree, there's established benefit shown to the unadulterated stuff but greedy and sick people foul things up for the good folk. In everything, it seems.
