This makes me sick, special needs kids are why we need abortion? I’m a blessed mom with an amazingly special spirit sent to an imperfect body. These people are evil (www.thegatewaypundit.com)

Underrated truth

I have a 8 yo son who is severely developmentally delayed. I always worried I would have a downs child or an ill child when I was younger. I worried…would I resent them, would I be angry, would I not want them? When my son was 15 mos old we realized he was not crawling like he should, or walking, talking, etc. we worried it was muscular dystrophy or a myopthay. We have been through all testing and we have no answers but you know what? It doesn’t matter! Physically he is healthy. Emotionally he is the happiest child I have ever met. He can’t speak, he gets frustrated, he is challenging, but he is also funny, and loves to play with toys, and hang out with his family, he loves animals, and swings, he loves to laugh. His life is full and he brings joy to others. How many people make poor choices and bring misery to others or do nothing with their lives and yet we don’t question the value of their lives? Why do some think it’s ok to devalue a spirit trapped in a imperfect body as a life unworthy of living? I’m so thankful today for all the other special spirits being saved! Parents may think they can’t handle it, they won’t want them, they may resent them. I’ve talked with parents who found via ultrasound if that’s how they felt and yeah they did. Anger, a lot of anger, but once you meet the child you can’t help but love them. They are amazing, they have a purpose. I was lucky because my sons issues were sprung on me when he was a toddler. Worry and fear of him being ill outweighed any chance for other feelings because I already loved him so much and couldn’t imagine my life without him. He drives me crazy some days but he is so worth any challenges.

God bless you. My daughter has Down Syndrome. She is loved by so many! Is she a challenge? Of course, but I wouldn’t change a thing.

God bless you and your daughter! We sent the most special spirits, I’m very religious and I believe their spirits are protected from evil trying to entice them to sin. They are so innocent and I believe we were given them specially to protect. I almost feel sorry for parents who abuse that because I think they will face harsh judgment and guilt someday. I pray I can protect him sufficiently from this world. He is non-verbal so I am extremely cautious of who can be alone with him.

My daughter is non-verbal as well. We are Christians too. We pray over my daughter every night for Jesus to protect her. She has a unique ability of sensing evil in people and in general and we use that to our advantage. Funny story, she got kicked out of her school for being violent. She never used to be violent. I started investigating my theory of her sensing evil and determined that the school was haunted, hence her violet outbursts. My wife spoke to an ex janitor who said doors would open & close on their own at night when he was the only person there. She got moved to Easter Seals and she is doing wonderful. Just as our Lord gives a blind person acute hearing skills and intuition, He also gives our special children unique abilities. We just have to figure it out. I have ended friendships and acquaintances due to their view that my daughter is useless and doesn’t contribute to society. Yes, they actually would say that to me. Those people are lost, but I pray for them still. Oh, I can go on and on. I bet you could too!😉

Oh wow! That’s amazing! And yes definitely 😆 So far my sons unique ability is to be so freakin happy. My 15 yo is basically Aspergers and doesn’t handle him so well, he has been mean to him over the years and one day he cried worrying his younger brother hates him. I told him that I’m pretty sure his brother is incapable of hating anyone and he likes to mess with his older brother. He is just so genuinely innocent and happy like a toddler or baby. He finds joy in the simplest things and I absolutely love it.

Thank you! I’m praying for all the moms out there right now! They want to tell them they will be a burden. Is it easy, of course not. No one said life wouldn’t throw us curve balls, but it is so worth it. I always tease my others kids saying my youngest (special needs) is my favorite because he can’t talk back. They all adore their brother except one who really has a hard time with him. In the long run I think he will find his brother to be a blessing.

My career is centered around caring for special needs kids and adults. Currently working with a young man who functions at about a 5 year old level in his 20s. I absolutely love him, he’s a joy to be around and calls me his friend, which melts my heart. His life is just as valuable and meaningful as anyone else’s! He matters! 💙

You are wonderful to dedicate your work to our special spirits! I never could have, it takes an amazing person to do it and do it well. I learned patience with my older kids to prepare me for my youngest but it took a lot. I admire those like my sons teacher, the paras and therapist who were just born to do it. Thank you!

I completely agree and I pray that I can sufficiently take care of him. I worry if something happens to me who would care for him. I’m trying to prepare my kids to make sure he never goes to a home but I really hope God let’s me stay for a very long time to take care of him.

My prayers go out to you. I know every day is a struggle emotionally, physically and financially. God never gives more than you can handle, and when you can’t handle anymore, God calls his children to Him. We had a friend with a disabled child: unable to walk and blind, and mentally handicapped. (The friend was a former nun, involved in drugs after leaving the order. Her husband saved her life. He later developed Alzheimer’s. They had two healthy children, but one was imprisoned after a drug rage and attempted murder-he found God in prison and is now out.) The handicapped child was well cared for into her 20’s. One day while listening to a religious program, her mother returned to the room to find her daughter deceased. The daughter was not ill, gave no signs of distress and the autopsy was negative. God decided it was her time to be called to Him. This woman suffered from drug abuse early in her life, a handicapped child, a child with drug abuse who was incarcerated for attempted murder, and a husband who died with Alzheimer’s. One would think this was to much to bear, but bear it she did, always with a smile and love and belief in God.

Except most autistic kids we don’t know there is anything wrong with them. Downs children can lead very fulfilling lives and are amazing children. I’m blessed to know many because my son is in sped classes and his amazing teacher does get togethers for the families and parents night out so we have support for each other. We’ve all told our stories and the lady is right, it’s not easy. Sometimes it’s lonely, and scary but we love our children and would never want them dead. What she is calling for is infanticide or euthanasia I guess. Autism is usually found past toddler age. Heaven help her, I would never want to face judgement from God for crimes against children.

Being born physically healthy does not ensure that one will always be physically healthy. For example, a healthy newborn can suffer from meningitis at 1 month of age and then be forever impaired with mental deficiency, cerebral palsy, developmental delay, etc. If we decide that those who are "less" are not worthy of life, what happens when one becomes "less"? Do we then eliminate them (for their own good, of course)? What/who determines what defines "less"? Is it mental deficiency/disease, is it the loss of a limb or sense (vision/hearing)? When did we become God and this world become heaven?

I have continually drilled into my kids, I have 5 other kids older than my special needs child, that there are those who don’t think Sam deserves to live because he isn’t like everyone else and can’t perform the way some thinks he should. I’ve told them they need to stand up for them always and demand that their lives are valued and protected. The end goal I believe is to eradicate them. I spoke with a nurse from the local children’s hospital during covid who gave me the list of kids slated to get the jab first. She was appalled because she says it wasn’t kids sick but kids like my son. She was at the precipice of how we feel about vaccines. She said “I’m a nurse, I know vaccines don’t cause autism…but I think vaccines cause autism and this list seems like kids they would like to get rid of” something along those lines . Just a random lady who thanked my husband and I for not wearing masks into the grocery store and talking with us about her fears.

One thing that those with special needs teaches the rest of us is compassion. That is so under-rated.

Yup, my daughter moved schools for the first time in 2019 right before covid. She was in 3rd grade. Her teacher told us she was the favorite of the Down syndrome girl in their class, every time she got to pick a helper she picked my daughter. My husband met her parents at the daddy daughter dance and apparently she had talked to them about my daughter. My husband explained we also have a child who is special needs and her parents had an aha moment as to why our daughter was so good with her and made her feel normal. He is a blessing to the whole family that’s for sure.

I can feel for you, similar as caring for a senior who has dementia, but too they were all meant for this particular time.

But keep in mind Planned Parenthood was meant to exterminate the black race and from there spreads as evil does to other situations.

Every life is a gift from God and has a purpose.

Yes, exactly. My mother in law was caring for her mom and dad, Alzheimer’s and dementia for over 10 years. We often talked and compared days because caring for the elderly is like caring for young children or special needs. Except with me I get to see my son progress and her the outcome was the end for her parents. She was amazing to care for her parents and give up so much for them. Such a wonderful example of unconditional love.

"these people are sick"... sick? these people are the embodiment of nazis. literal nazis. this is exactly what the nazi party of germany thought to do with people that were "damaged"

Yup and that’s what I tell my children. I tell my kids that in some places and in history there are people would would kill their brother in a heartbeat because he is not what they think a productive member of society is and therefore no use. We understand more than those evil people and have to stand up to them and stand up for the vulnerable. It starts by valuing ALL life, even those who have not taken a breath. It’s so evil and sick
