It doesn't. It's a narrow ruling that may or may not open the door for more cases. So maybe in a few years we will see other cases that affect other agencies based on this ruling.
No, I've actually read it. This in no way shuts down any agencies. It's a narrow ruling based on this specific action by the EPA. Those are just the facts.
It just specifies a certain section 111(d) of the clean air act that EPA overstepped on. Belongs to congress to act on or within state borders. Still a big win
Except that the ruling does state EPA has some authority. It specifies a certain section:
Quoting:
Congress gave EPA the authority to adopt on its own such a regulatory scheme in Section 111(d). A decision of such magnitude and consequence rests with Congress itself, or an agency acting pursuant to a clear delegation from that representative body.
How many seats are the Democrats going to pick up in november? What is the trajectory of the Democrat party? What is the trajectory of liberalism in this country right now? What is the trajectory of the influence of federal agencies? The SEC ruling from 3 weeks ago. The Second Amendment ruling in New York last week. This ruling against the epa?
I fully expect deliberate action from a Trump-controlled Congress in the next Congressional session.
Well to answer your questions and further strategy, unless this dem controlled congress can pass an EPA type law( they wont) its moot past midterms because the D power structure is ready to implode
This wasn't the all out halt to the EPA, and thusly congressional delegations to the federal agencies, that we had hoped to see come to light. It does temper the EPA overreach to allow restrictions on an energy facility, but disallow the forcing of a facility (such as coal power plants) to pivot into LNG, wind or solar to grow production.
Reasonable and positive step forward, but the big shit heap stays intact. For now.
Narrow ruling but still a win. Consider how the M5M will spin this as egregious partisanship against their sacred environmental cow to whip them into a fREEEEnzy and then you'll taste that sweet salt that will surely flow.
At the pace they're going, it won't take them that long to MAGA in the grand scheme of things. Give em 10 years and hopefully they'll have the Administrative State/DS eroded down to half of what they are now
This is how its done, people! Nice job u/Oh_Well_ian
Get ready for the biggest Reeeeeeeeeee you've ever seen since.....well...last week.
🤣
done in 30
And it all falls down….
How does this topple the IRS? We need that agency gone yesterday.

Your concern trolling is going nowhere.

Unfortunately correct. Just read it.
You guys can read?
It sets a precedent, which was what we all knew before this case was going to the SC.
Keep going, send the government trash home and then make them homeless.
I'll never let them forget. Never.

It is a start in the right direction.
I see Dan Rather is tweeting nonesense about this.
Oh Dan... He has been a recluse since COVID began.

"Power back to the people"
It's a narrow ruling. It's NOT what we hoped for. Very disappointing.

Did you seriously expect the Supreme Court to abolish the epa?

10 years?
