I think you will see several states pass voter id closer to the election to reduce the risk of a challenge that will injunct the process so they can steal another election.

This is good, but unfortunately these kinds of things seem to only happen in states where voting fraud is probably not an issue. (but this would hopefully prevent it from ever being an issue)

What about capability to communicate with other machines?
How about indirectly connected to the internet? Say, through a server that happens to BE connected to the internet?
There should be NO electronic voting. Back to paper ballots should be the clear sane choice.
