When my children (now adults) were in school, they not only said the Pledge every morning, they also sang the National Anthem.
I did that too at this one private school I went to.

I skim over headings. With out noticing right away, this is one that I read from beginning to end. Its my Patriotic OCD.
Love the sentiment but the pledge of allegiance was deployed to indoctrinate children to turn them away from god in public schools.
now this should be stickied

I'm sorry, but no. The Union was not supposed to be "indivisible" and the whole idea that the states had sovereignty was what the Civil War was fought over. But, the states lost and the Federal government was forever changed with the power firmly within it's grasp. The whole pledge was written by a Socialist named Francis Bellamy. https://www.ushistory.org/documents/pledge.htm
