It is illegal for a gas station to undercut by more than 10% the 'average sale price for gasoline', in all the states, afaik.

Gas stations profit about $0.03 per gallon. I know this because I have a dear brother in Christ who runs a gas station. So, yeah I see this as distraction. Bezos is on their side.
I'm pretty sure most gas stations CAN'T lower their prices, even if they wanted to sell at loss, or they'd lose the contract to have fuel delivered to their station.

Between Government regulations and yes, contracts, they cannot play any games. They depend on fuel in order for customers to buy all of their other products. The fuel is just to get you in the store.

I just love how this bully tries his level best to blame others with an imperialistic tone for consequences that we suffer due to his reckless policies. Like he’s some kind of authority to fear if you don’t do what he says. He shits his pants therefore he should have a seat and be quiet. These are the things that are trying my patience😔. That, and the legacy media lying and never having to correct themselves. Or retracting a statement on page 48 or so of their newspaper. They have done it for so long that people are completely misinformed about everything. It’s difficult to wake people up until you can convince them to question what they are taking in as truth.

Biden’s comment is either sheer stupidity or deflection to blame gas stations for the price of gas when we know it is all the regulations, down production by Presidential mandates, lack of truck drivers, rising cost of diesel fuel all based on limits of production by the Biden Administration. I believe it is the latter-deflection.
