This is not some single person that's going to rule. It's a spirit that's here NOW.

CCH says His Kingdom is coming. Jesus told the people He was coming right back to establish His spiritual kingdom:

God spiritual kingdom was and is established. We rule with him now.

I believe that many Christians are interpreting the end incorrectly. Their interpretation teaches it's all downhill. I believe there is a revival coming. A window of opportunity before the end. Christ's Spirit rises and expands the body of believers and defeats evil (the battle we are in).

The quick version is that modern Bibles and interpretations are corrupted to fit the deep state's (Satan's) narrative; effectively, making Christians accept/embrace a doom & gloom future where evil wins. God already won. I believe a massive revival is coming and God's people and His Spirit rise in victory. The Matthew Henry interpretation predates many misleading interpretations. I am not saying it's perfect but it's the best I have personally found.
I have. Nearly all modern study bibles are corrupted. The original Matthew Henry study Bible was written in the 1700s (before Scofield influence, pretrib/modern end times interpretations).
