"It could have been worse." -- too soon?
Thank god he was vaxxed and boosted.
Surprised he didn't tweet this from the ambulance
I posted this research elsewhere in the thread, which explains why I listed Santana's age in the post title yet still created this graphic.
I listed Santana's age in the title because we are the news now. We need to present all of the evidence and let people come to their own conclusions.
I've come to my own conclusion, which is based on my research into Santana's lifestyle and the details of his heart attack scare, based on his own words.
Here's a direct quote from Santana from January 2022 regarding his unscheduled heart surgery-

Normally, reading that a 74 year old man had a 94% blocked artery would not be surprising.
However, it is surprising in this case because Santana is vegan, and even has his own line of vegan shoes-

Dr Kim Williams: exposes the true cause of Heart Disease
This video details the benefits of a vegan lifestyle for reducing heart attack risks for those who are not suffering from adult congenital heart disease.
Dr. Williams is a cardiologist with a genetic defect that caused his cholesterol to go out of control. He was already eating what he considered a healthy diet (chicken, fish, fruits, vegetables, and low grains) when he discovered he had a very high LDL cholesterol level at a conference where a vendor was introducing a new cholesterol test. Williams determined the result were accurate and wanted to do everything in his power to avoid taking statin drugs. He made the switch to a vegan diet in the end, which brought his LDL cholesterol levels from 170 down to 90.

Not trying to turn this into a discussion about diet, other than to point out vegans generally do have lower cholesterol levels and a lower incidence of heart disease.
Make of the above what you will, but it's what prompted me to create the above graphic and put together this post.
Problem is, that narrative is not true.
There has NEVER been any evidence that saturated fat causes heart disease. It was a lie made up by Ancel Keys in the 1950's.
Vegans are wrong.
The actual facts show that low cholesterol levels are associated with HIGHER levels of heart disease. Just the opposite of what is pushed as the narrative by the Big Medicine/Big Pharma industry.
A lecture on the real research over the years, and how Big Pharma lies. This knowledge is what led me to look for the Pfizer lies about the effectiveness of their vaccines in 2020/2021. Sure enough, they pulled the exact same scam: relative risk instead of absolute risk to lie about reseach results:

You are absolutely correct. Dietary cholesterol was a boogey man created by the Sugar Association and Big Pharma. Fasting insulin levels due to simple carb consumption, especially all of the modern processed forms of sugars, are one of the best indicators of inflammatory processes in the body - plus other metabolic parameters that are rarely tested for outside of alternative medicine like homocysteine, fibrinogen, C-reactive protein, and lipid particle size. What is being tested for on a normal blood lipid panel is like a blind man trying to access what an elephant looks like just by holding on to its tail. Less than 20 percent of cholesterol can be linked to dietary sources. The lion's share is made in the liver - some in response to inflammation. The introduction of HFCS really drove the process since the fructose in metabolized in the liver using the same pathways as alcohol. This is why there has been a steady increase in non alcoholic fatty liver disease. It also goes hand in hand with the epidemic of DM2.
Statin drugs were developed for those people you mentioned that genetically have cholesterol levels that are in the stratosphere. But that doesn't make money so they lied once again to create a market - Hegelian Dialect. Magically what is considered "normal" levels have been moving down for years. The same is true with other parameters - they are all based on averages that can change over time. So what should a healthy level be? Do we even know anymore.
The latest push of the Rockefeller's Reset the Table initiative, also linked to the WHO and the UN, is moving everyone towards an entirely plant based diet - and zee bugs. I recently had to earn some CEUs for state licensing and took a nutrition class. I could not believe the changes that have taken place within the nutrition field in just a few years. Put this all together and it is obvious where certain forces are trying to take us. There is a reason why they are going after particular food sources - and it is not due to cow farts. I have known for a long time that most of the garbage coming out of the so called professional journals that try to pass for legitimate peer reviewed science is bought and paid for by those with an interest in predetermined results. How do I know? I worked in research for over 10 years and saw exactly how the game was played. The money drives the so called science.
The patients that I saw in my practice that were Vegans eventually had it crash and burn in some manner. Mostly immune system and musculoskeletal problems. The Vegans that ran, especially marathon and triathletes, to me seemed to be prone to lower extremity fractures that were shattering in nature - all requiring surgery and ending their athletic careers. After several years it seemed to be a pattern. They also appeared to be more prone to spinal fractures as well. The whole thing appeared to start hitting the wall in the mid to late forties if they had been a Vegan since in their twenties. Some of the women had the skeletal structure of an eighty year old. They had no muscle mass, could not retain body heat, and were sick all the time. I know this is purely anecdotal from my end, but this is what I saw walking into my office. The protein and antioxidant needs of the body were not being met enough to compensate for the activity level. Despite my warnings, they would politely tell me I was full of crap and go on about their business. At some point they came back in with stress fractures and some with severe breaks - and that is on top of the rest of the chronic illness they developed. Like the vaxxine faithful, even then they could not admit it was in fact their so called healthy lifestyle that was actually slowly killing them. Vegetarianism is a cult and not a diet.
Makes a ton of sense. HFCS is REALLY bad stuff. Government subsidized, of course ...
The video I linked explores this issue. There is a "cholesterol board" that determines at what levels statins should be prescribed. That number has been going lower and lower over the years, thereby increasing the number of people taking statins.
Turns out, the individuals on that board have financial conflicts of interest. They make more money when these drugs are prescribed. They get paid directly from the drug companies, and that does not even count the possibility that they might also buy up some key stocks just before their next "guideline" announcement.
Editors of Lancet and JAMA have both said that over 50% of research published in their journals are not valid science.
Although this is an extreme example, it is interesting at the rapid rate of declining health. This guy tried to do an experiment where he would only eat broccoli for one week. The results were both comical and frightening. It's not so shocking at the declining health, but the RATE of declining health is mindboggling:

Here's real data which shows vegans are 20% more likely to die of a stroke and 18% less likely to die of a heart attack.

Obese people are more likely to have blocked arteries than those of normal weight as well.
Carlos Santana is a vegan and not obese, and a 94% blockage is a rare occurrence for somebody in that demographic. That's my only claim.
Can you point to where I claimed a diet high in saturated fat should be avoided?
I don't disagree with the video you posted, by the way. Losing weight is the most important thing one can do to reduce the risk of heart disease and a whole host of other complications. The key to that is eliminating sugar and processed foods as much as possible. Whether that involves eating more meat and going keto, or is accomplished by intermittent fasting, or by going vegetarian/vegan matters little as long as the weight is lost.
That's an epidemiological study. Such studies prove nothing. They can be used as a starting point for a real study, but by themselves prove nothing.
These people were given a questionnaire about their diet, and then 10-20 years later given a 2nd questionnaire.
Can you tell me how many servings of XYZ you ate over the past 10-20 years?
Nah, didn't think so.
Means nothing.
No, you didn't. But vegans do. Always.
