a DDOS attack is a DISTRUBUTED denial of service, aka attacked from multiple locations/IP addresses - uually a botnet of machines that have no idea they are taking part in the attack
for a DDOS to take them off a live stream on rumble, either attackers took rumble down altogether? or somehow DDOS'd the static external IP (if they use one) of the router supplying the internet at the location of the live streamer.. which would be difficult to obtain without inside knowledge?
While DDOS attacks are distributed, you typically deploy them from a botnet across infected PCs as it's low level ping type attacks overloading the request handling on the server.
Now, there used to be a program called ION cannon that would direct DDOS attacks. So, while they are distributed, they also usually originate from one place.
I'll take Langley, VA for $1000 Alex
I will take the closest Chinese Embassy for the same. I know that is not how it works. But it would still be CIA at the end of the back trace.
China with help from and backing from the CIA. CIA == China Invades America. Every invasion needs a beach head.
Fuck Langley
So they were monitoring the traffic live?
probably gathered info from log after the event

They did this on Election Night, didn't they?
Yeah, but is he gonna put out thousands of IP traces in a truth? Nah. He just needs to post one, to illustrate: we have it all.
Hmmmm. Ah, OK. I don't have enough knowledge to evaluate that, so I'll leave it there.
However, in my books, Phillips has a lot of cred, so I am very much inclined to trust that it's not bullshit, or if it is, he has a reason to post it.
Perhaps it's a trace to the machine that executed the botnet.

This is the way
What's the penalty for initiating a DDOS attack?
