From the get go, we all believe in the Jolly fellow. It’s a fun indoctrination game parents love to play on their children because it makes them feel good. It’s a magical time in a Child’s life.
Then BAM, one day you get hit with some massive red pill. That fat bastard isn’t coming to your house any more.
So many go through this very mental mind fuckery at an early age and even continue the tradition with the next generation. And even still, it takes years for people to start wondering what other Santa style buffoonery is afoot…. If they wake up at all.
Is my religion, is my church, are my spiritual leaders telling me truth? Are they only continuing the same degenerate sagas expecting unquestioning faith?
Do my teachers know anything more than what the state tells them to know? Ever have the realization that most of your teachers were probably lower-performing academics and were terrified to do anything else in the world? Easily led, easily groomed.
Do you know any cancer survivors who worship pFizer because of their groundbreaking cancer studies and treatments? Ever asked them what they would think if they found out pFizer was holding back faster and more efficient therapies or even cures for profit?
Fossil fuels are definitely made from dead organisms right?
Antarctica has never been claimed by any nation…. Because it’s not hospitable right?

Hey you think Santa is bad. What about the tooth fairy?
"Yes kids it's OK to sell body parts for cash."
Most excellent post. I have said this in the pulpit fren. And when a preacher preaches truth he gets ridiculed. They say oh it’s just fun and games for children. I say “take yourself back to that moment in your life and remember how crushed you were. And then think about how easy it is to say you believe in Jesus, but do you really believe?” Excellent post!
Lord, I do believe. Help me Thou in my unbelief
Thanks for the comment. What you say is 100% correct.
Technically speaking several nations claimed various portions at one point or another. Claims of course being given up with promises and treaties to not claim it or do anything Military related. And limit human presence to approved research stations. Referred to now as the Antarctic Treaty System which was established in the tail end of 1959. The Antarctic Treaty System is actually an International Organization all it’s own headquartered in Buenos Aires.
And whether or not somewhere is hospitable hasn’t stopped people before. Just ask the British and their history of claiming inhospitable rocks in the middle of bumfuck nowhere Atlantic/Pacific Ocean just because.
Or the Batshit mining frenzy that resulted in people claiming any Islands with large amounts of Guano during the 19th century.
Rumors of course persist of unlicensed research stations, military facilities, unknown structures etc. Along with the more traditional Nazi/Vrill Society base theories.
Topic of such facilities is often is featured in Creepy Pastas, Horror films/found footage flicks. Topic of secret/lost Antarctic expeditions also crops in books as well.
Probably not without reason. Continent is a massive mostly frozen craphole. Good place to hide the especially shady or unethical shit that maybe to compromising or dangerous to research in “Civilization” and risk a whistleblower.
The point of this one was to highlight that the excuse of it being non-hospitable doesn’t add up when you consider history (as told at least). Treaties or no treaties, navigable waterways and lands have always been fought over. Yet, barely a peep out of an entire continent.
As I said. It’s a good place to hide the particularly unethical and shady shit that might be too dangerous for even the powers that be of various nations to risk researching domestically.
Also. Can’t have whistleblowers if there’s nowhere for staff to run.
Maybe the idea of the Nazis having an underground Antarctic base there is true and they leveraged their alleged technological advances to get the treaty and silence.
Maybe it’s an entrance to inner earth.
Perhaps they found something there that they mutually agreed must be hidden to prevent public panic.
Something that may potentially undermine major religions for instance would be a pretty good reason for nations including some of which that mutually despise each other to agree to keep quiet.
Lots of possibilities potentially hidden beneath the Ice. The unknown is always intriguing.
Pretty sure we have been lied to all of our lives. The real reason Antarctica has controlled visitation is because Santa lives at the South Pole NOT the North Pole! 🤪
"Fossil fuels are definitely made from dead organisms right?" I should be shocked anyone believes that dead organism nonsense, but the last few years has raised the bar so high I can barely even see it for what it takes for me to be shocked at what people fall far.
Moon landing is likely gonna' trigger somebody. Excuse me while I go survey some devastating tornado damage. I'm whimsically driving there at 67,000 mph in my convertible with the top down. Taking my dog with me because he likes to stick his head out to feel the gentle breeze at that speed. When I get home I'll be checking some sampled air for harmful carbon monoxide levels. I forgot to bring the detector with me, but I did remember the jar. Forgot the lid for the jar, but I'm sure the sampled air will stay in the jar anyway.
Your list, OP, reminds me of this:

Walter Winchell, Joe DiMaggio
Joe McCarthy, Richard Nixon
Studebaker, Television
North Korea, South Korea
Marilyn Monroe
Rosenbergs, H-Bomb
Sugar Ray, Panmunjom
Brando, The King And I,
And The Catcher In The Rye
Eisenhower, Vaccine

We didn't start the fire
It was always burning
Since the world's been turning
We didn't start the fire
No, we didn't light it
But we tried to fight it
If you go through the whole song, you realize that Billy Joel was telling us where to look.
Damn that’s a good point, reading it does give the vibe
The above is just part of the lyrics. You can find the lyrics in their entirety here:

Good post. And just like Santa, it's starting to get awkward that the left, and many on the right still believe the lies they are told about stuff like covid. It's like that that 11 year old that still believes in Santa.
Even my own mom says “I can’t believe the democrats….”
It’s like acknowledging Santa isn’t real but still worried about what the elves are up to
When my daughter found out about Santa not being real (as well as the tooth fairy), she lost faith in the existence of God as well. I keep working on that but I don't know if I can ever make it right. :(
To me that shows a high level of common sense and correlation. It’s ok for someone not to believe in God. They will find their way back.
The more you learn and understand makes it very difficult to not believe in God. Only truly dedicated individuals make it to old age without learning until they die, all the while denying that the universe was intelligently designed. The funniest and saddest part is that they convince themselves that they are the smartest and most enlightened. Learning about the universe or even the planet Earth alone has numbers of probability that are truly unbelievable. Literally unbelievable that everything around you happened by pure random chance, but believe it they absolutely do.
It’s science! The scientistsssssssss. They all agree
