Yes but we're never gonna get anywhere with there/their/they're, lie/lay/lain, lay/laid/laid, to/too/two, cite/site/sight, rack/wrack, right/write/rite/wright, etc.
For one thing, if they don't get it by the time they're in high school, they probably aren't going to, and aren't going to care.
For another, so-called "smart" phones aren't; they automatically misspell these things constantly.
give out free copies of "state of fear" to teenagers. it redpilled me on the climate hoax in my twenties...
I swear to God, michael crichton wrote doctoral theses on subjects, then wrote his novels around those thesis (he even includes sources in the back of his books).
perfect grammar is inefficient, you're brain can proof read my message faster than i can could back and edit it after mashing my keyboard as fast as i can. efficiency wins wars, trim what ever does you no harm.
Well said, and I do try and correct things, but never was good at spelling and grammar. Lucky for me my job is to drill large holes in aircraft parts.....
Fren, if you're gonna try to correct everyone's spelling and grammar here, bless your heart, but you've got your work cut out for you. I used to be a copy editor, so seeing the wrong homophone being used more often than the correct one, pains me as much as it pains you, but I suggest taking a deep breath and letting it go. "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms," (Eph 6:12) and our battle is certainly not against all-too-common spelling mistakes. Peace.

I agree with "you are brain" - I am mostly brain. Unfortunately, even with a brain the size of a planet, I can't understand your posts.
The ability to communicate effectively is really important. Διαφορετικά, μπορείτε να γράψετε και στα ελληνικά.

The goal in writing is not to force your readers to proof sloppy copy,
But yeah, on a message forum or in email or texts, who cares?

I try to politely correct when I can.
"Hey, you misspelled this word. Not a big deal, just pointing it out."
"hope springs eternal" though.
