Very few can imagine the kind of burden this man carries. Very, very few.
You cannot know what is going on in the world and not be subject to an ocean of sorrow. It's how you deal with that sorrow that determines your strength of character.
Trump style feeds off the energy of his audience, which was not a large and rowdy crowd he is used to...that's how I felt about his speech today...not his high energy relaxed delivery to the masses...I did wonder what other purpose brought him into DC today, surely not just this one thing...
Indeed, I was going to say the same thing, Inq. Just because Ivana was his ex-wife, doesn't mean he didn't still have love in his heart for her.
I have an ex-wife. She was terrible to me at times. But that doesn't mean that I forgot all the moments all those years ago that made me initially fall in love with her, nor does it mean that I'll ever forget that she's the mother of my wonderful, wonderful boy.
And I sure as hell would be very sad if she died.
I strongly lean towards Ivana's death not being an accident and that it's another salvo that he's had to absorb in this battle.
Accident or not, it was sudden and a shock and they had a good relationship. And at the moment he can't grieve or have a little privacy to vent, he is out there rallying the troops in this critical primary season.
Ivana is the ex wive Ivanka is the daughter. Slavic societies give “diminutives” to names - it doesn’t make it smaller, it’s more a way of making it “dear”:
Natasha, Natoychka; Anya, Anyuta; Dana, Danka; Ivana, Ivanka
Probably the mid-terms, but we can hope! Although, he sounds so sad to me
He does sound sad. Trying to look/act defeated, the Art of War?

The Trumps did not look sad @ the funeral, they looked pissed.
He came across as extremely reserved. The calm before the storm.

Ivana was Trump's ex wife.
Thank you for the correction, S2. An embarrassing error on my part.
Mind you, she's his ex wife because of himself which also changes the dynamic a lot in terms of his feelings for her.
