I'm starting to think the economy, inflation, oil, and life in general has to get MUCH worse for people to wake up.
The average Canadian folk thinks Trump is a bad guy and a grifter.
We need a rude awakening.

What do they think of Trudeau?
The majority of people I know hate Trudeau with a passion. It's not uncommon to hear people say things like "he should be shot" (my Mother-in-law says this regularly lol). I live in the suburbs of Ottawa.
The people I know that like Trudeau, or at least won't criticize him publicly, have paycheques that depend on him or the Liberals being in power.
If someone I know says anything critical of Trump I just have to say "yeah, but what about Trudeau" and they start ranting about him. It's so easy to distract them.
I do find less and less people hate Trump with a passion than even a year ago, though.
Depends on how open they are. I have said neutral, factual things like "at least Trump made the US energy independent", stuff like that, just planting a seed without getting into it.
I do often talk about media manipulation in general, though.
I am Canadian. It is true that most here are asleep. But they are starting to pay attention and ask questions. That is all it takes. I just wish they would hurry up and figure it out.
Yeah, I find there is a slow awakening, too. Even if people aren't as awake or passionate as we are, they are at least starting to realize something is fishy.
Except for the people that hate the Truckers Convoy, there is no hope for them lol.
It's not about getting people to accept or like Trump, it's about getting people to see how corrupt government is. I think that's worked like a charm
I am in Canada. I know lots of people that are awake but I also know lots of people that are not but I discovered something. Many people I thought were not awake actually are sometimes you catch that by accident. They are awake but they dont talk about anything the silent majority. I should think that with the trucker protests the amount of support should have told you that lots of Canadians are awake. I know if you listen to the news it was the fringe majority but it was not. Likely around 60% of Canadians backed the truckers. The problem with Canada is Trudeau is still giving away all that free money to everyone. $2000 a month thats a good amount of free money. So basically he is buying people and these people even though they hate him will continue to vote for him as long as they keep getting that $2000 a month. The natives hate him which is why Trudeau just paid them 1.8 billion dollars. See how that works. When the market crashes then you will see the hate because there will not be money to give anyone anymore. Right now they just keep printing and printing. I have a brother in law that is 100% awake and still got 2 covid 19 vaccinations. He figures he had to he has 3 mortgages one for each of his kids that he pays for and could not afford to lose his job. Many people were in that boat.
Yeah, people are held hostage by the government handouts, exactly what our government set them up for.
I don't know many people that still like Trudeau, though. I agree with you about people just staying silent. A few months ago I walked into my local pet food store and overhead the owners talking with another couple and they were extremely anti-Trudeau and pro-truckers, and all of this time I had no idea since they never share their politics (because they are business owners, and smart). It was just a coincidence that I came in at this time when there was no one else in the store but the four of them, and they knew me so were comfortable with me overhearing.
That was a great day, I was so happy to know more people around me felt like I did. They said there were a lot more people like them.
Oh it's the same here in the US South. I use a litmus test when I'm talking to people and ask if they've ever heard of Dr. Robert Monroe, Dr. Peter McCullough, "2000 Monkeys," or suggest that the 2020 election was stolen. Blank stares.
Sigh.... I despair.

Due to an unusual set of circumstances I am the only American in my family, all the rest are Canadian.
Vaccine border restrictions have kept me separated from my family for a very long time, and there is no end in sight.
They are only 25 miles away.
I live in exile, set adrift from those that I love.
Sadly I think you are right…people are stupid here.
Public realization of the plandemic and clot shot would sure be a rude awakening.
