I saw Ashland Dog's post about the DOJ opening an investigation into Trump and his role in the faux insurrection and I had a crazy thought pop into my head. What if the DOJ comes up with some trumped-up charges to indict him? The FBI is sent to arrest him (the "first arrest"), but instead they are met by the military (the military is the only way). They inform the the FBI agents they cannot arrest a sitting president, because Trump enacted continuity of government and has been POTUS all along (devolution). The agents are hauled off to GITMO along with all the co-conspirators, and we all live happily ever after.
I am probably way off base, but it would certainly be a plausible way to reveal the plan to the public en masse.

When I heard about the new investigation my heart sank, but only briefly. The enemy has been dancing around going after Trump, so the reveals have been incremental. A direct attack on Trump almost seems to warrant a bigger response, which is why my mind went to the FBI and the military.

Discovery in court is a wonderful thing.
Even if the Devolution part doesn't happen think of all the things we'll learn if Trump is on trial.
The only question that I have about these types of hypothetical scenarios is if Trump instituted COG and he is the true sitting President still, then how does Biden administration factor into this and is it really Biden who has been enacting all these terrible decisions to harm our nation.
In other words in a scenario where Trump is still President, does that implicate Trump in responsibility for all the terrible government actions in the past 1.5 years. I guess that's where the 2 simultaneous president's theory kicks in and things would get murkier still about who what when how.
Anyway, it would be interesting I do admit.
If this scenario was correct, President Trump would be the President in Exile. Biden would be the Commander in Chief of an Occupying Force. The Occupying Force is implementing these policies, not the exiled government.
If this was a traditional, kinetic conflict it would be easy to visualize. But it is largely covert, and largely fought through information warfare.

That is the part that is hard to reconcile. I know the whole "they have to be shown" thing, but a lot of damage has been done in showing the normies.
