It's definitely gotten worse. Tons of posts where the posters themselves didn't even read the article they posted, just making assumptions based on the title. Same with videos where the post title expresses outrage over something literally taken out of context / not even in the video. Fake screenshots. And then they get mad when you ask for source / doubt the veracity. But due to it being stickies, everyone just automatically assumes that the mods made sure it was true.

We have to be better than that, raise the standards again. No matter how trivial, do your due diligence and check everything yourself, even if it is stickied and has 300 upvotes.
I dm'd the mods once to point out one particular poster who was notorious (notorious to me, anyway) for posting stuff that obviously wasn't true and could be quickly disproven. Most of those posts weren't even stickied, but it still bothered me because I would DM that person or ask questions in the thread and the OP would never, ever answer.
The mod who got back to me was very nice but said that the mods have too much to handle and they don't have time to verify every post. But you are specifically talking about stickied posts, which are much more prominent. Perhaps they could find time for those, since there aren't that many and they generally stay up most of the day.
A net search shows multiple sources reporting the mass resignation, it appears normal in a restructuring of their government such as the reshuffling of the cabinet.
