Just saw a John Wayne Gacey documentary and he was a big shot in the Democrat party. Makes you wonder if he might have been caught sooner if it weren't for his position in that party.

Yep. I think everyone has seen the picture of him with Jimmy Carter's wife Rosalynn Carter.

This video makes interesting connections between serial killers and programming. Gacy is mentioned. https://odysee.com/$/download/programmed-american-folklore-(part-4)/7afc0e34faaf568a6040d670addafffab29567d7
This book changed my view on serial killers. Most serial killers are really satanists who aren't actually killing by themselves but with others, committing ritual murders. This book is hard to read because it's such a dark subject, but I read it a little at a time and it was well worth the effort.
Programmed to Kill: The Politics of Serial Murder Front Cover David McGowan iUniverse, 2004 - True Crime - 406 pages 0 Reviews The specter of the marauding serial killer has become a relatively common feature on the American landscape. Reactions to these modern-day monsters range from revulsion to morbid fascination--fascination that is either fed by, or a product of, the saturation coverage provided by print and broadcast media, along with a dizzying array of books, documentary films, websites, and "Movies of the Week". The prevalence in Western culture of images of serial killers (and mass murderers) has created in the public mind a consensus view of what a serial killer is. Most people are aware, to some degree, of the classic serial killer 'profile.' But what if there is a much different 'profile'--one that has not received much media attention? In Programmed to Kill, acclaimed and always controversial author David McGowan takes a fresh look at the lives of many of America's most notorious accused murderers, focusing on the largely hidden patterns that suggest that there may be more to the average serial killer story than meets the eye. Think you know everything there is to know about serial killers? Or is it possible that sometimes what everyone 'knows' to be true isn't really true at all? « Less

Gacy was one evil dude. Holy cow, those eyes. Spawn of the devil.
It would not surprise me to find that serial killers are cabal families that went too far with the trauma based programming.
Ted Bundy was very active in the Republican party in Washington state. Rubbing elbows with the governor I believe.
I think his political connections - for that matter his friends - had major difficulty accepting that he was a murderer. Including Anne Rule, a former cop. They had a profile fairly early on, and Anne knew he fit it.
I believe Ted Bundy was active in the Republican party, and I guess Bundy is one of the 13 family names.
Some think he was part of the club.
