Brits are not Europeans, Britain has never been part of Europe. It was part of the E.U for a while, a trade agreement but that is all.
We (UK) are technically classified as being part of Europe (the continent) because Islands are generally grouped with the nearest continental landmass.
The European Union (E.U) is just a political organisation made up from countries on the European continent.
So hence we're European but not E.U
I agree with this, and raise you a UK voted to join the EEC. The EU was NEVER voted on by UK citizens until Brexit happened. The EU is a con, and has been since the beginning.

I love the diverse nations and cultures of Europe, but I hate the EU, which is trying to make us all one giant uniform conglomerate with no identities.
