The reason why Trump used MAL as his headquarters was due to the White House having untold numbers of wires and bugs. They tapped Trump Tower as well. Just about the last place the Democrats haven't tapped is Trump Force One, which was recently renovated.
Without a doubt PDJT would have brought in a USSS (or private) TCSM sweep team the second the FBI cleared out to check for devices.
When POTUS moved into the WH, I was still living in DC. My neighbor was USSS and was an agent/technician. He wouldn't say much about his work, but I did pickup that they were working 24/7 conducting max demo and constant sweeps in the entire WH to include ripping out plaster and breaking apart furniture.
I worked in this field for some years and can tell you that eavesdropping devices are very, very sophisticated and extremely difficult to find certain types of devices.
If you read the history of "bugs", you'll see some insane devices discovered that have technology created in the 50s and 60s. Our embassy in Russia was so loaded with bugs planted during construction that it was easier to demolish the entire new building.
I’m surprised they don’t have some kind of signal jammer to stop transmission for bugs. Seems more effective than demoing a building and constant sweeps. It just seems so easy for someone (or now with drones ) to plant bugs
You can have dormant devices that don't transmit, are operating at extremely low power levels that don't wake up until a specific time periods. Those bugs won't be easily swept up
I remember that story. The Soviets used a "Red Sparrow" or honey trap to entice a construction crew member or embassy staff member to be able to infiltrate and bug the new building.
It was more than that. Almost all of the contractors building the place were KGB assets. I had the pleasure of working with the son of the guy that developed the TCSM methods for sweeping for those types of bugs.
There was also a bug that was embedded in the concrete, and would drill a few microns, listen for audio, and if it didn't detect the room audio vibrations it would drill a tad more until it did. Incredible engineering for the time.
I'd be more worried about a dusting of fentanyl or some other deadly toxin being placed on her garments.
Or possibly planting wires and bugs.

Interesting.

Would we be hearing about it if they do?

Also search "theramin bug embassy thing" for something interesting.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge on the subject.

Exactly.

Wonder if the clothes were sent to a lab.
It wouldn't surprise me at all. Or at a minimum, they brought in a chromatograph and tested onsite.
Exactly.
I agree. I am glad that she did.
Exactly this
