Stage 5 means we are short of 5000 MW on the grid...We have a capacity of Approximately 60000 MW but only ever have about 35000 available....This Country is run by Fucking thieving imbeciles...But hey "White man bad"......again I apologize for this rant but I need to get it off my chest.....

The only thing keeping eskom operating is the engineering department which is white. They actually go into the field and do repairs. A couple of years ago they wanted the white engineering department fired and replaced with darks. Well even the darks knew that this would be the end of the power in S africa. The company told the gov that if they did this kiss all power goodbye. The engineering department was exempted from the white man bad regulations.
And you must take his land, apparently. Got a friend who makes wine down your way and he has got some opinions, let me tell you. I have some friends who hail from there, Capetown and Joburg, whom I knew as a younger man who fled to Australia before covid. Damned if you do.... Godspeed to you down there, amigo.
My friend lives in Simonstown. First thing she & her husband did was install a commercial grade automatic generator. Their power goes off every evening.
Here on our Greek island we get occasional power cuts - especially in lightning season. So I spent a little under 2000 Euros on the bits to install a minimal solar power system. When new, it could keep my computers and a few lights running for up to ten hours. Now, 11 years later, I need to spend 1000 on new batteries.
If we had frequent, lengthy power cuts, I'd definitely expand the system. Luckily we don't (so far).
Here in UK the country is closing down tomorrow for Liza funeral..hard to believe people dont see her for what she was....all comedy shows etc banned..not appropriate. This is the witch who said you were selfish if you didn't get vaxxed.
