"Brooks says the purple light is caused by the wearing off of a yellow-laminate coating on the exteriors of the light bulbs—which is responsible for turning the bluish-purple hues white. Brooks notes that the lights weren’t installed as purple, and that the change happens gradually over time."
Interesting. This could be a workaround to make the lights cheaper to manufacture. Powerful LEDs need big heat sinks, so what if skewing them blue makes them run cooler and not need as much in the way of cooling? I'm speculating, so maybe is IT a conspiracy.
I've seen one change from white to purple in real time. Happened instantly, and also seen one do this and then switch back to white, and one that went to purple and then turned off completely
Luciferase glows under black light.
I thought about the blacklight angle. Maybe it's a project to see if the lights kill viruses and reduce the rate of sickness.
Florida
Kansas. Apparently it's a manufacturing defect and will be replaced eventually. (That's what the city was told, anyhow)
The purple ones are supposedly defective get a bee b
Hmm ... I will just be safe and stay away from vaxxies gathering under this funny light. Too many zombie movies in the past for my liking.
I've seen that too about a year ago. It was every single one of them all at once.
If they are all LED and all IoT connected, then they can all be changed simultaneously to a different color. Interesting.
Yes…scattered all around in south Florida
Here’s Vancouver explanation https://dailyhive.com/vancouver/led-streetlights-purple-colour-light
Not here - southern Louisiana
Yes. I've seen them here as well. I heard that they are LED lights that are cheap and that is why they look almost like blacklightts now.
Do the vaxxed glow under ultraviolet light?
