Ummmmm. Negro means black in Spanish. Anyone speaking Spanish will say that word to describe something or someone black.
They weren't going to leave a tip anyways.
Haha. Classic. Relative to history and to the rest of the modern world, whites—especially American whites— are the most racially tolerant people. And that’s often to their detriment when discussing pure survival.
Non-white people are still far more tribal and supremacist, but yeah, keep thinking there’s this “people of color” solidarity.
Wokeism is imploding.
Drama queens!
It doesn't sound like any offence was meant, just someone being uncouth and unprofessional with their internal table group naming. They probably didn't realise it would show up on the receipt and offend their customers.
I guess if I was at this restaurant and they labelled us "whites" I would be unimpressed and probably wouldn't go back either, but I don't think I'd call the press or get someone fired.
I don’t see the problem…unless they were a table of chinks. /s
Stupid fools don't even know how to spell the taxonomic classification of being 'Negroes'. "Negros" (without the 'e') is plural in Spanish meaning the color black.
This reminds me of Senator Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio) in 2012 when he used the word "niggardly" in response to a question about spending for veterans. From the dictionary, 'Niggardly' means (1) reluctant to give or spend; stingy; miserly. (2) meanly or ungenerously small or scanty. Yet, using this word some blacks misinterpreted the word and he got in a lot of trouble from the Fake News.
Senator Sherrod Brown said, in part:
“Of course we’re falling short,” he said. “There are people, as you know Matt, in this Congress who will always send a blank check when it comes to spending money on defense or war, but are a little more niggardly, if you will, on spending money on the actual veterans when they come home. And that means we don’t greet them well enough in terms of getting them the right testing when they’re back in Coshocton, Cleveland or Lima, Ohio.”
I tend to agree, Congress has always been rather 'niggardly' when it comes to compensating veterans.
There have been people who have gotten into trouble other times for using the word, assailed by people who did not know better. In 1999, David Howard, an aid to Mayor Anthony Williams in Washington, DC resigned after coming under fire for using the word. His resignation was accepted. The mayor was later shown the meaning and etymology of the word and realized he had been misinformed by a bunch of offended sophomores. He rehired Howard and apologized.
The new black panther party is involved?! LOLOLOL. They should change their name to the new panther party. Can’t have any colorful adjectives out there offending people! Haha.
If you translate the entire article to Espaniol the word negro would be in it many times.
-Network, 1970s film.
LULAC was in the news last week too, with regard to Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar suing DeSantis for shipping illegals to Mass. Hmm.
Would "Crackers" have been more acceptable?
The fact that they do not 'like' negro has no bearing on the Fact.
