he's probably got every scag throwing clam at him, if he's a busy guy he might not have much time or personal skill to figure them out. i think history has plenty of examples of geniuses with poor personal skills. anyway, not to be riding Elon, but playing devil's advocate. I agree with his statement, which is the object of discussion here anyway.
Sometimes nerds also don't tend to get out and go places that share their interests. I get checked out by a lot of women at nerdy places, and they're always enthusiastic about talking about our shared interests. But turns out a lot of women do like beardsmen who take care of their beards and smell nice too.
I think this is also a problem most people run into nowadays in the world of digital socialization. We end up very segmented and are either working or interacting online, and while meaningful friendships and relationships can come from those interactions, you're not really zeroing in on shared interests all the time.
Now, granted as a nerd myself a lot of the people who share my interests end up being leftists...so that does introduce an additional minefield.

Every genius, every person for that matter has shortcomings or something they're not great at
And for a lot of nerds, that has been women.
For career driven people, that has been good women, because turns out you don't have a ton of time to spend with them.
It's weird that any poster here would put 100% of the blame on him for not staying with the women..when the women are fucking awful.
Women do not operate within the confines of logic and reason. This is why nerds have a hard time.
You are a wise man.

Einstein was a scumbag when it came to women.
