MY gps sends me different directions coming and going from the same place. And for some reason doesn't even recognize the exit off the highway where I live. Takes me on a 30 mile detour.
Why did he not just drive the same way home? Why did he take a different route? As mush as I hate Google the maps are real time so that would have routed him around the out of service bridge. I assume he was using a GPS that hasn't been updated since he bought the car.
Wouldn’t the road be well barricaded to prevent this?
The article says the barricades washed away years ago.
I would think they should have fixed the road or put up new barricades. His lack of awareness aside, it seems negligent by the city/township/county.
They've been priming us to domesticate killer tech for years. It's extraordinary that anyone has Alexas and whatnot.

real life Toonces event, brought-on by ignorance & broken tech
I had to look that up, and you're right! 😸
Who is he? Story is sus. Possible witness to something?
Your comment is why I found it weird he didn't just go home the way he came.

Yeah true. Mine did same when I was in outside sales. Annoying.
Mine will re-route me if traffic is heavy or stopped and a different route takes less time.
Or it could be comms. The Crimean Bridge blew up the same day…
Interesting observation.
I don't get it. Why is this here?
I see it as a technology issue.
I just wasn't sure if he was somebody special or if it was a tech thing or what lol sorry
No problem.
Did you see the comment where someone wondered if this is comms? Might be, as the whole thing is weird.
Yeah. It just all seems really odd.
Me neither. I don't even have a cell phone.
