I was not able to register at first in Canada, but using a VPN (I used the built in Opera VPN in settings) I was able to register and helped my family register that way. Could be worth trying.
You can also download the APK and install that way.
How? Even with VPN they need a number from the US or UK so they send a code to that number to confirm to see if it's you.
I tried those sites who give you temp numbers but after 1 hour of trying those numbers they give always seem to be used already.
Hmm maybe because the Canadian phone number is very similar to American I'm not sure. I got myself registered and I'm with Virgin Mobile, and my father and sister with Rogers.
Same here but now they've blocked browser access via VPN IPs in Brave.

This worked perfectly... .fucking playstore wouldn't let me download it, claiming it wouldn't run on my device.
This is how I got the app, through the link above to side load and I have BRAVE.
Although before that for months I just used: Truthsocial.com and added it to my phone's widescreen and also to my laptop.
