Just a place for general discussion. A place to unload whats on your mind and talk about anything - personal, health, help needed, achievements, daily highs and daily lows, theories, predictions and what have you.

Ugh my nights and days are so mixed up. No reason other than I’m a night owl and my family are chronic insomniacs. Even if I only get four hours sleep and up all day I’m still up very late the following night. My mind won’t shut off. Doesn’t matter what supplements or herbs I try. Eventually after a few weeks my body doesn’t react to them. My dad lives next door and it’s common to see his light on anytime of night. I remember as kid staying with my grandmother. When I woke up in the middle of night she would be reading or playing cards with herself. Not only solitaire, she played Rummy against herself. 2:13 AM & I’m going to attempt counting sheep. Thanks! I have used the wrist point. While it didn't get me back to sleep, but i did notice it would quickly relax my breathing. I don't think i did it for 2-3 minutes, so that is good to know.
So this is weird. I have never looked this up before but every spot in the link I have found on my own. The ones on the wrist are especially helpful to me. I also use a spot not listed that is on the back of knee. That is usually the one that will get me back to sleep if I wake up in the middle of the night and my brain goes hyperactive. Doesn't always work, but I always try.

That’s so true and funny. Unfortunately I’ve been this way a lot longer than I’ve been “awakened”. It’s probably a symptom of one of my chronic pain conditions. Also, fear of missing out has always been in my nature. I’ve learned to live with it😊 I’ll admit I do get on here to late at night. I have to force myself to read instead of trolling GAW. I love coming here, learning and getting to know everyone. Sadly I have never learned to balance things. I’m either all in or not in at all.
Try this. I have the same problem. If I start thinking that I should get up and do some chore, all of the sudden my brain wants the sleep! Sometimes this doesn’t work. That’s when I get up. Like this morning. I got up at three am. What’s the first thing I do? Pray and then check GAW😄!
Great idea. Usually I can get to sleep pretty easily, even if it’s very late. Guess I have lots on my mind.
Try those foam earplugs. You can still hear stuff, but it shuts my brain off and I'm asleep in minutes.

My ME time is in the morning. 🤫
So is mine, eyes shut. I sleep much better when the sun’s up than I do at night. It takes me going on a trip or the beach to be an early bird. My husband is a morning person. At least on the weekends he has his time because I’m usually sleeping in.
