Same thing when Microsoft bought Minecraft for $50 billion. I got it for free lmao
Of course it is free. It is a pyschological weapon. I have granddaughters, 8 and 10 who used Lego minecraft characters to explain the game to me. First of all, you get to go into any home that you find and Take whatever you want. (I would think at the least you should leave something behind, if you help yourself to someones possessions) The other thing that bothered me was their attitude when it came to Villagers. I asked if they bartered for food or tools. No, "they are useless, you kill them" I was appalled, the 8 year old confirmed that , " No,really Grandma, they are useless, you kill them!" This is a terrible mindset for adults and children to be playing over and over again, for hours. What is the lasting affect on them?
Schizo+bait post Good thing someone else answered before I did otherwise i might break a couple rules here. Minecraft is not a bad game. Notch was based. He created a game to distract the kids from porn and violence found in most other games. It is a 100% wholesome game. Microsoft ruined the vibe by creating obviously wokeified default skins, but oh well, I have my own, Christian Crusader, skin!
You have an incredibly flawed understanding of video games in general, especially minecraft. If not for minecraft, I would not be an engineer today.
Yes, they kill villagers and steal their items. Its a video game. This does not damage the kids psychologically.
What do they do after they do that? They go back to their base that they've built themselves from the ground up. They farm resources, get geared up and go down to the mines for an hour of hard labor digging up all the materials they need to build bigger and better gadgets, and progress through the technology tree by learning the games mechanics and 'rules' (the games physics). They tame a horse, load up a saddle bag, and go trek through kilometers of forest looking for a dungeon or a witch hut.
After all this, they decide to start playing around with redstone. Whats redstone, you might ask? It's electrical wires. Once they start playing with redstone, their minds are blown. Redstone is what made me start thinking like an engineer. Its basically electrical wiring - theres the capacity to make incredibly complex systems, anything ranging from a door that automatically opens all the way up to a computer. You can build a computer in minecraft
Obviously thats difficult, but in middle school I managed to figure it out enough, on my own (with a little help from youtube) to build a fucking calculator in minecraft. You could do addition, subtraction, and multiplication, all the way up to 2 digits (1-99). I built a display screen, that takes the redstone input and figures out what number to display based on the operation and the numbers that were inputted. The game is fucking incredible, and you need to let the kids be kids and give them free reign to explore in their virtual world.
I used my experiences with minecraft to get into the engineering academy in highschool, and now I'm a software developer and devops engineer.
The lasting effect on the kids is wonder, excitement, and inspiration, just to name a few.
I think it was more like 4 Billion.
Now 51 billion...
Funny as hell. I bet some low IQ types will go along with and second this logic.
The low IQ ones definitely believe this is stupid, but proves that the product is the users. At least, until Musk monetizes it for businesses and such.
Nicely done! I’d say our meme army is locked and loaded! Even the stupid ones are hilarious. 🤣😂🤣
Kek-iest of keks to you bgny!
This reminds me of Norm level comedy
I wonder, will some (or all) of that 44 billion be repossessed due to those executive orders Trump signed? Hmmmm...
You became a customer for free. They owned you. Elon owns them for $44 billion. There's a big difference.
