I have to agree our current income tax system is just fundamentally broken. It is one thing if local, county, or State collect taxes as it may be beneficial for those that reside in that county or State.
But the percentage of Federal income tax that is re-invested back into your local community is very low. The best example I could think of is maintaining or improving the Federal HIghway system.
But often local cities and counties still are burdened for improvements for the US Federal high way system for the most part if runs through their respective counties and States.
All they do is just re-pave the road and put some vegetation/trees in between the medians. So where is the rest of the Federal Highway money going towards?
Taxes are socialism, pure and simple. Local, State, Federal, World, WHATEVER! It's the same shit at a different scope. Just because someone can come up with a "need" doesn't mean those who don't give a shit about someone else's "need" should pay for it. If there is a true need, that need will either get fulfilled by the good will of the local populace or it won't. Relying on some bureaucrat, regardless of the size of their jurisdiction to fulfill that need is not only idiotic, but a direct violation of our Inalienable Rights. The government, ANY Government doesn't have any rights to your property. Your income is your property. The government demanding it is called thievery.
The federal government doesn't keep open books. What is transparent is simply the mountains of hay hiding the needles and usually the system is inefficient enough that citizen oversight is too slow and too small compared to the big picture to effectively call out misspending and rally up the support nationwide to initiate judicial oversight, nevermind consequences. It's a lot easier to hold local government accountable with citizen oversight and clear custody of projects and book keeping.
Taxes in this format is organized criminal theft from the people. I hope the Q plan really takes account of how flawed this system is. It's just another layer of lipstick on an old pig otherwise.
It's not fundamentally broken, it's working precisely as the cabal intended. The Fed, and the IRS are a tool to keep people enslaved. Ever wonder why there is never an audit of the FED, it's not b/c it is a private business but they consider ALL money theirs, they just let you use what little you "earn", you have no right to know what the cabal does after all we're just slaves and are not privy to that kind of information or have any say so about anything. Tariffs work quite well when applied appropriately.
What is worse is they can print as much as they want. Inflation is a tax without representation.
When you take that into consideration it means that currencies under the umbrella of this system are not real.
indeed, they lie, we know they lie, and yet we all still pretend
"best example I could think of is maintaining or improving the Federal HIghway system."
Don't forget the U.S. Military Industrial Complex... which literal trillion$ go unaccounted literally every yr (per annual audit- without including black book funds) with us U.S. taxpayers holding the bag, yet still ignorant to the R&D/technologies held by DARPA and "others"... all estimated at 50-80 yrs ahead of the general domain.
Yet, we get NAZI/NASA as fodder (look here, not there) and [their] annual budget to boot
"It is one thing if local, county, or State collect taxes as it may be beneficial for those that reside in that county or State."
Emphasis on the "may."
In my state (and probably many others), it's mainly beneficial to political cronies, campaign contributors and democrat supporters. Don't get the idea that local and state politicians are any more honest or trustworthy than the federal species.
This is true.
Even in Florida we are still fighting to figure out how our tax money is spent on a local and State level.
More often than not I see money squandered as they will hire 'out of state" contractors for projects they never finish (eg Georgia) coming into Florida. Meanwhile there is more than enough capable contractors in the State of Florida to handle the work for similar or cheaper costs.
